Well if you want my list of excuses here ya go

1) my tires were ****. the falkens i had on there were 235's and looked like a slick, ok maybe not that bad but enough to net me a 2.2 '60ft.
2) in all reality, im no mario andretti (sp?) so probably needed a driver mod
3) the DA was terrible that day, hot as hell and bad humidity. i was sweating like a feind in my car with the windows down.

hence the reason this guy is at the bottom


But my car is no slouch, ive beaten a decent amount of fast cars. i pulled on a cammed/bolt on 2v mustang that runs 13.3's. Ive also spanked a couple 05 gt's stock and one with a catback.

Do mach 1s have a gt 5 speed or the cobra 6?

Technically.....Niether.

It has a TR3650, which is what is in teh GT...however, it has different gearing. 1/2/3 gear ratios are much better than the Terminators. Which is why a mach can hold it's own against one in the 1/8th.

All five gears are different than the GT TR3650.

 

When my car had 3.73s and exhaust I never had any issues taking ls1s through second gear. Once third came around it started to get ugly. With that gts mods he should have been able to easily put some distance between you until your hp came into effect. From digs and both cars properly driven, a gt and ls1 should be pretty even until the ls1 hits third and then quickly walks away.
