It was worth the money to a certain exstent because i did not have to put any more mods into it right away. I should have got it for cheaper but by the time i put the mods into a stock ta it would have been way more than what i payed. But you remember the car ha.

 

I dont remember your car, I remember my LS1...man wish I could have both. ( Cobra and SS )

 

What made you go from an SS to a Cobra.

 

With 420 RWHP and getting bored with it, I had to forge the short block to s/c it or run a big shot on it. Plus I wanted a newer car with lower miles ( 90k on SS ) and I kept thinking if I wanted a good 03-04 Cobra, better do it soon. I was also getting sick of the cam lope a bit. If you want a sedate car with 600+ rwhp its a S/C Cobra or S/C LS1, but I didnt feel like putting all that money into the SS. Both are so fun, no favorites.

I did it, 10.98 @ 125

finally after 20-25 passes i did it. short time was 1.54 with an 1/8 of 7.01 @ 99. i video taped it up close (rentals we can get REALLY CLOSE) and realized it was spinning alot of first gear out of the hole. so I dropped the tire pressure from 12 cold to 11 cold. 3rd pass the car dead hooked and broke the rear end...AGAIN! no idea yet but i sheared teeth in the rear just 6 weeks ago. good thing the season is over up here. owell..I got my 10!!!

Correct, but there have been several 9 sec. passes on a properly modified 03/04 Cobra IRS suspensions. Less expensive and much better to just swap in the live axle however.

If you're going to tell me more than 1% of the 2V Mustangs running around phoenix have a chance you're crazy. I can spot a fast car when I see it, and fast 2v cars I don't see.

And that's funny because his other 3 03 Cobras all went into the 10s on the stock blower. Did you notice the MPH? And did you notice I said 18" drag radial?

 

2v stangs can be fast , i said anyone in south florida who wants to race a fast 2v let me know

 

well i geuss because i made a little mistake about the car having a 3v my entire post is wrong right?? secondly, this is an ls1 board, you cant expect us to know everything about every car. i think i did a decent job of covering most of the basics.

 

why does 13.47 @103 sound slow for the list of mods nxls has my mach went 13.30@106 befor my mods

You had a bad knock sensor.....or something.

 

my ss had magnaflow ,slp lid ,hypertec programmer and was slow by ls1 standards my mach1 stock would have killed my ss no ls1s put down good times at the track here in florida

 

Man I wish I had time to go to WP Morosso. No good LS1 times?? Wow. Im suprised I have not run into you out racing on the streets. Im in Ft. Lauderdale. Any godd A4 LS1 should be 13.5ish at 105...stock. Ohwell, Florida sucks.

wow, my thread got hijacked pretty bad!!! Also, just so u know, i thought it was funny that same day i ran into a mach on the way home from work!! I also dont need a mach 1 owner to say some **** about running into a mach and it will be a whole different story. im not new at this, i know enough about the compettition!!! Anyway, i come beside this guy on the interstate and he hits his exhaust and revs a little and he has this tough guy look on his face with his cool shades on, with what looks to be his girl in the passenger seat. well, we cant get a straight away cause thier is to much traffic and i end up getting kind of far ahead of him. Well, another lane opens and he jumps in it and i see him gun it from a few car lengths back, now if it were me, i would have caught up and set up for a good run, but this guy just flies by, so i jump behind him and Eventually reel him in, but it was a nice slow catch, slower than the geared gt i had raced earlier. well i wave, he nods, and that was that!! I know a mach 1 is even compettition cause ive raced plenty of them and had friends who have had them!!
