Awesome run I take it he would not run from a dig?. I have not had any good runs like this yet. None of my friends will run me with me on nitrous, but all day long with me on the motor only. Even my 03-04 Cobra friends. Makes me wish sometimes I never got nitrous .

dans car runs for sure... im not so sure that the viper has the "claimed" power or not.. A cam only, 100 shot TA ran door to door with him as well, he had 495 rwhp... anything can happen on the street though... so who knows.. deff badass though to see that viper rip... but big Dan for the win!!

I don't no for sure what the Viper put down now but back when Brian Owned it, it did put down 650rwhp..

I'd find it hard to believe with 720RWHP, but I can see it happening with the viper having 650 to the wheels. The Viper is going to weigh more, and I bet you have quite the gearing advantage. As has been said, anything can happen on the street. I'm really curious if the Viper really had said power though.

Same here man. Was it Brian or Mike Kelly that you ran..Brian was the old owner Mike is the new owner of it.. I wish we could have gone from a dig but he didn't want to and he wouldn't even slow down low enough for me to get into 2nd gear but he was. I started at 3K in 3rd gear, luckly that big shot makes up for the low rpm.. I think that Viper would get drug by my car from a dig..

So your Vette ran mid 10's? That is what I think my car should run..

Ive never heard of a 522ci Viper laying down 720rwhp NA....Nice run but he likely puts out around 575 - 600 without the good stuff....

I would think alot more then that.. I have seen 408 LSX cars put down 575-600.. Like I said the old owner said it put down 650rwhp, the new owner said 700+rwhp so I am just going by what he said..

i ran that viper with my camaro. i didnt know he had heads. i knew he had a cam with nitrous in it. but he only made 700 on the N20. i raced him and he said he made 550 on motor and 700 with the juice. i could be wrong, but he told a lot of people this.

The new owner of it said he was putting down 700rwhp and over 900rwhp on the 250 shot.. When Brian had it he said 650 rwhp on motor and upper 700 range on the 100 shot Brian had.. 550rwhp would be very weak for a 522CI stroker H/C/I bolt on Viper.. This is what both owners have told me personally not some B.S I heard from someone's brother's sister's dog's friend.. I'm stating what the old Owner told me and the new Owner told me.. I raced it when Brian had it when I only had a 150 shot about 4 months or so ago and he ran me on motor with me on the N20 and he only put about 1.5-2 cars on me then. My car is making about 150rwhp more now then it was then so that car is alot stronger now then it was back then.. So I know it is making more power..

To those that mentioned the Viper weighs less...the Gen 3 Vipers weigh and estimated 3380#. They are not as light as most think.

Nice kill, the faster you go the bigger the advantage for the viper. the op said he had 4.10, assuming the viper had the stock 3.07's that is alot of gear to pull, even w/ 522 cubes.

I find it hard to beleave that the Viper owner is putting down any were near 720 rwhp with those mods...

A 522 CI stoker isnt really that big of a deal....Elspecially considering that the bone stock engine is a 488 CI...

Id think this guy is 550 rwhp at the lowest and 650 whp at the highest...Im guessing right around 600 rwhp NA and then 800 rwhp with the NOS...


Do you really think a 550 rwhp mach1 would run door to door with a 720 rwhp NA Viper...

That Viper would be putting down 500 rwhp at only 3000 rpm's...

I was amazed when i saw that my bone stock viper hit 300 rwhp at only 3000 rpm's...

As well that 720 rwhp Vper wpould be 900-1000 rwt..

This guy just isnt telling you the hole story..Or more apropiety he is around 720 crank HP all engine...

600 rwhp plus 15% drive train loss would put him at 690 crank HP...So maybe he's 615 rwhp NA equaling out to 720 crank HP...


With him around 600 rwhp and being a little lazy on the stick I can see you pulling him with 550 rwhp...

But man if he had 720 rwhp he could probaly miss a gear and still end up winning...

Ive got a buddy with a 10 pound roe supercharger as well as methanol injection and he only dyno's 720 rwhp on his GTS....But his car runs 9.9's at 140 mph...

as far as the weights go....

rt 10...3380 pounds

GTS....3420 pounds

mach1...3370 pounds

So I dont think weight would have played any factors in this race??????

Good runs...Weather thgis guy is pushin 550 rwhp or 720 rwhp. A wins a win and eighter way thats still pretty prestigous for a mustang.
