02+ Z06 has 405bhp SAE Net and weighs what 3200lb with 3.42 gears.
A bolt on LS1 Fbody will not really top much over 360rwhp (dyno dependant). So you are probably looking at an equiverlent to 400-420bhp SAE Net.
The Fbody should weigh in at what 3500-3600lb. But if you are allowing bolt on's could be running 4.10/3.73 gears.
This all adds up to similar HP, weight advantage to the Z06 and probably gearing advantage to the Fbody.

Z06 weighs closer to 3100 pounds. I've even seen posts of owners weighing their cars and the resulting numbers were UNDER 3100 pounds!

It takes about 385rwhp and 360rwtq ((stock rear end gear ratio)for a stock M6 SS or ws6 to run with a stock 405fwhp zo6. At least I've seen this with a TR 224 cammed bolt-on ws6 running almost dead even on the highway with a stock 02 zo6. Acutally the z was starting to pull some over 120, but slightly. Don't think a bolt-on stock weight f-bod is going to pull a z, maybe from a stop w/ a good driver, but definitely not from a roll, considering the weight difference and the z's transmission gearing as others have pointed out.

In my oil burning 385 hp 01 Z06, I 30 mph roll raced a lid, cam, LTs, duals, stalled LS1 Camaro SS with 400 rwhp. I barely pulled away from him. Only one car ahead by 120. I run mid 12's @ 114-115. He wasn't too happy I was stock at the time puttin down 360/363 to the wheels.

Well, after all of this speculation. I would personally like to offer up my STOCK '03 Z06 to any "bolt on" LS1 F body in the Northern VA/DC/lower MD area that would like to have a crack, and see what it REALLY takes to hang. Please don't take this as a cocky statement at ALL, I just happen to like a little friendly competition.
And umm...I'll pretty much take any race I can get these days!
The Z06 is in the shop right now getting the transmission looked at, 3rd gear synchro went out, but as soon as its out I would be happy to oblige anyone who wants a go.
Cheers!

3160 was my car with a full tank of gas how I drive it everyday. I had some tools, CD case all the stuff I roll with in there plus some extra. When I get it the car it jumps to 3400 lbs.

I saw a C5 Z06 race at the drag strip, Now I know you guys see them all the time in the USA. But they are a rare sight at the UK drag strips as they are a high dollar car. 01 C5 Z06 goes for £21,000 ($38,500) in the UK
I love them and I want to get a C5 next not because it'll be any faster my car they are just a much better looking car than the Z28 and my car is already as fast as a C5 Z06 at the drag strip if you count Nitrous as bolt on!
The C5 Z06 I saw was the blue commemrative model with the grey stripes on the carbon fibre hood. I think they are 2004 something to do with a Le Mans win! 405hp M6 guy ran 14.2! he couldn't get the car off the line like most stick shift guys they just sit there spinning the tires!
So he lines up in the staging lanes for an hour twice then looks like a chump because he can't drive his £35,000 ($65,000) car! what a jerk
Hope I havn't upset you M6 guys too much, but no one drag races stick shift American cars in the UK we all use auto's. M6 F/bodies are thin on the ground here also 90% are A4

When my car was stock I raced my bro's 94 a4 LT1 camaro. He has a catback and a p1sc running low boost. The car makes 375 rwhp. We did a roll race from 40-110. I won by 2 cars but he was slightly pulling on me when we shut down.
