Two in One Day!
Two in One Day! I will have had my '99 Z28(Intake, Exhaust, Programmer) for one year on December 10th. Until today I had not raced against anyone, track or street. I'm sitting at a light getting ready to turn left and a C6 pulls up next to me a revs a bit. He nods and I get what he wants. We both make the turn(onto a two lane road) and as soon as we are both lined up we gun it. I don't know how, but I was pulling away from the guy the whole time! We got upto about 110 before we had to lay off the gas, we had to stop at a red light about a quarter mile down the road. The guy rolls down the window and asks, "Dude, WTF do you have in there?" I tell him that it's a LS1 with barely anything done. He couldn't believe it, he said he was ashamed that he couldn't get more out of his Vette. He congratulates me and turns right.
As soon as he turns a Cobra(about an '03) pulls up. This guys car sounds ******* amazing(i've got a LM and he was about 4 times as loud). I was so ecstatic about beating the vette that i wasn't even thinking about doing anything with this guy. Besides, this guys windows were tinted so dark I couldn't have known what he was getting at unless he rolled down the window. As soon as the light flips he takes off. I had no intention of going after him, but I was in the mood. I floor it(got an A4) and start gaining on the guy faster than either of us thought I would. I end up pulling in front of him by atleast two car lengths(doing 115) before he calls it quits. We stop at the next light and he pulls up right next to me(a shock, i know). He doesn't say anything but I can see the outline of his head shaking back and forth from side to side.
What a day, something tells me i'm gonna have to take a trip to the track next spring so I can get some times...

Resurrection Sorry to resurrect this thread but I just saw what you all wrote.
And what I wrote did in fact happen. I did beat a C6 and a Cobra. Neither of them had bad starts. Everything just fell in place for me.
I don't know why it is so farfetched. As for my lying or it being a joke, neither of those were the case.
I know what I wrote wasn't as exciting as some of the other stories but it was such a big deal to me (and you can understand why), so I posted it.

These guys were playing with you, not racing. You would not be pulling from a C6 with your reasoning of (" I dont know how but...") and you wouldnt walk PAST a Cobra at any speed when he got the jump. Tell Michael Jackson we said hi in fantasy land.

Its ok for anyone to have opinions/beliefs as to whether or not you won. You dont need to rag on them. This is a kick-*** site, and you shouldnt get your panties in a twist and want your account deleted just cuz some people call BS. On paper, you probably shouldnt have won. Maybe be a little more specific with your mods, and you'll be taken more seriously all-around.
You say "intake and exhaust", do you mean FULL intake, FULL exhaust, and a tune? Thats quite a few bolt-ons. That would put you close to, if not even with a STOCK C6 or a STOCK 03-04 Cobra...
