I could see that beating him at his own game would be Niiiiice, maybe i'm wanting this roll race because i'm thinking about what would be the cheapest way to beat this guy. I just bought a H/C package and I'm broke as hell right now, so all i'm thinking about is saving money. If you have the money i guess go get some tires, you'll need em eventually anyway.

With those power numbers and 1.7 60' he should be running mid to low 12's.... something just doesn't add up!!!

What do you have done to your car man? What do you run at the track?

When I went to the track I let off at the 1000' mark because I didn't have a helmet, I was still to quick for it though so I got kicked out

I have full exhaust and a tune, pretty basic mods.

I had a pretty good run with LS1iFiEd from a roll, he still won, but it was a pretty good race.

I say race him again but on a longer street. I have only raced one sti and it was from a roll on the freeway. He was in 3rd gear and i was in 4th. We were side by side for about half a gear and then i just walked away. The car a ran was slightly modded.

Good death, the 06 STI's are right at 13.0 flat thru the 1/4 mile stock and some have broken 12's. Sounds like the race you guys had was loaded toward the Scooby with its AWD. Go to the track or get some DR's so you can get a decent launch. After TBE and stage II flash he might be making those HP/TQ numbers, maybe a little more. But it def. won't be to the wheels, not unless he goes with water/meth injection.

Yea, I have money saved up and a stock longblock in my shed, the only thing I need to do is bring myself to spend the money and build it, just hard to justify it when I know the money can be spent elsewhere.

I am probably gonna be picking up some tires this weekend, have a set of spare rims for them to go on.

next time I see him and the trash talking starts, I'll head home and throw them bitches on and show em what for

You need a helmet when your 13.99 or quicker, i would have just said f**k it and not let off the gas, cause you know your gonna run 13's or better anyway! Get that 12 second timeslip THEN get kicked out! Lol!

It's 13.49 or quicker for a helmet at OSW.

Hmmm really. I thought it was pretty much universal, it must vary on different tracks. Both that i've raced at have been 13.99 for helmets. What about roll cages - Are they if you're 11.49 or quicker or is that different too?

I knew he was going to win, but he wouldn't shut up, come to think of it, he didn't shut up after he beat me either He did only beat me by 1 car and I had a passenger and a full tank and he had no passengers and less then half a tank, either way, I defintely think with a sticky tire and a longer race hes toast.

Lol, wow, didn't realize, that was pretty good timing, yea, it was kinda dumb, but I couldn't leave my friend out in the cold by himself just so I would've had a better chance, and when you are 18, theres not much else to do, so ya know, blocks fall into place and such.
