Yeah, well it has a 4g63 swap and a 16g turbo with a fmic, pushing around 20lbs of boost probably.

wow that car sounds like a serious waste of time and money.
The age old saying applies here more than to any civic: at the end of the day you're driving a HYUNDAI ELANTRA.
shake this one off.....you cant win them all.

with the money you spend on doing an awd conversion you might as well get your self an f-body and an rx-7

their is no difference in someone modding a civic/f-body/mustang/ hyundai/ or swapping engines or changing from rwd/fwd to awd ect. every one of us is doing something that really isnt needed and quiet honestly a waste of money in the end. so why bash someone else because they have a different opinion and idea of how they wish to spend their money on a car. people that fit this category of trying to say their reason for modding makes more sense ect.. you my friend are the definition of a Ricer.

^Yep.
Theres actually a lot of oddball hybrids between the old DSM hardware and Hyundai stuff. I actually have a Hyundai block and crank in my Laser. See, Hyundai used a lot of Mitsu hardware rather than develop their own back in the day. My G4CS is basicly identical to a 4G64, which itself is essentially a 4G63 with a 6MM taller deck height to accomodate a 100MM stroke over the stock 4G63 stroke of 88MM. I use a totaly stock 63 head, front case, oil pan, etc. Tranny bolts right up.
If I were to do a project like that I would likely leave the bottom end in and simply bolt on a 4G63 head/ECU/harness. Boom, 2.4L. Or a nasty mean hi-reving 2.1 if you put in a 88MM crank from a 4G63.
As for the AWD, I'll have to look at that link, but the transaxle and T-case are pretty compact and if you can find a way to mount them and the right ratio rear diff, your only problem is then finding the right axles and hubs for the back. The mounting should not be too bad, since the diemsions are probably similar to have they had in there stock. Big PITA, but gawd what a sleeper.
And yeah, no shame on the death. A Green running 28psi on a 2L efficiently is well into the 400s WHP conservatively. If my 16G does not cut it thats the turbo I'll probably turn to.

Actually its not impossible to convert a car to awd that has never been. I used to talk to a guy that was building a VW corrato with the R32 engine and transmission and through the awd system fron teh R32 in teh corrot and it was turboed with 600 AWHP very nasty.
