98 Z28 Vs 94 Z28 (A4's)
So, tonight i got into a race with a 98 A4 Z28 with no mufflers and the exhaust cut before the tire. Also, it had a lid and some mod to make the air get into the intake easier. (something to do with cutting something) Also, the egr mod. The LT1 is an A4 with LT headers, matching Y-pipe, cai, and a tune.
We went from a good spot for the LS1. It was about a 55 roll or higher. Both of us had the gear in 2. After three honks, i got the slight hit and it stayed even for a while, then were side by side with him creeping a little bit. By 110mph, he was not even a half a car on me. It was a very close race. The front of my car was on the back of his front tire.
We tried a couple low rolls, but i would pull ahead pretty easily because of tires. It would be nice if he had tires and we got some digs. The LT1 is better from a dig IMO. I'm very happy with the outcome. Also, there was a M6 lightly modded 02 SS following. In our 55 roll race, we were pulling on him, lol. The 98 Z28 raced him from a 50 and put a 1/2 car on him by 100. Then, they raced from 45-100 (maybe faster) and the SS was just barely a car length ahead. When the SS was stock, it ran a time of 13.1 @ 107.9. (in the heat. 90 degrees) So, we know the SS is a strong runner. (only has 29,000 miles on the clock as well) Good races overall and a fun night driving with some f-bodys.

We didn't get it on video, because were going to need someone following to tape it. The cars are too close in power to add a person, lol.
