is this a B.S..!
just wanted to say, I have driven like 7 different Mach1's some 03's some 04's auto and M5 and 2 had full exhaust, tune Cai and I have driven only 3 LS1's 2 WS6's and 1 T/A all auto's and the LS1 hands down will beat ANY 4 valve Mach1 stock for stock and even basic mod for mod! the Mach1's need gearing to get revvin' but add a stall to the auto LS1 and that negates that! somebody should do a mod for mod test all the way up to H/C/I and nitrous and see where it all ends? I am also a stang guy here but have been a 5.0 guy(5.0 superior over the mod motor) for almost 20 years and all these car's,and motor's have their pro's and con's but thats the greatest thing of it all we have something to argue about! so let the battle's continue!
Stock for stock it is a drivers race. They are both low 13 sec stock cars. STOCK no drag radials, gears, K & crap filters, short shifters or anything else. How they came from the factory. The MACH 1 is harder to master than the LS1 cause of the lack of low end power, in turn harder to launch which brings me back to my earlier post. Most races are lost at the launch or before 1/8 mile. So with that being said, more MACH 1's will lose to an LS1 than the other way around. The LS1 are easier to launch and drive. So yes, stock for stock a Mach 1 can win, but usually dosen't
[QUOTE=2v-in-12's]Might make the same power, but only paid 9 grand for it. I can sill put my procharger on it for less money total than any Mach 1 I found. Same is true for any same year trans am or Camaro. QUOTE]
ok your making us ford guys look bad with ricer statements like this...you buy what you what and whats in your budget...and you mod it accordingly....everyones different...casue at the end of the day a mach1 with a prochager would still be faster and the cost isnt a factor....

still waiting 4 that first loss, just looking 4 a little respect 4 a great car .and who could dislike the shaker hood ,when we go to the track i will records a couple of ls cars and will post win or lose
Just making a point. Don't get your panties in a twist. The point is, Money makes speed. Who gives a **** if Bill Gates has a fast car, He should. Any rich man can make ANY car fast. I personally like to see how fast I can get it working on it myself with as little money as possible. A fast car built by a performance shop for a rich man is not impressive. My 12 sec mustang built in a garage after work and on weekends impresses me. With my wife being a pharmacist and myself owning my own programming business, I could have bought a 911 turbo and run low 11's stock. Not the piont. So from one ricer to another....do you get it. Good for you. At least you get some satisfaction doing it yourself, not just an empty wallet cause of an overcharging speed shop. I actually used to be a technician. I have 6 ASE certifications and a pretty big assortment of tools. I would have to swallow my pride for someone else to work on my car. Im not trying to be an *** but we all have reasons for what we do. My 1st engine build was a 305 in a 67 camaro when I was in high school. Was not the fastest thing around but I built the motor from scratch, and ran it for almost 6 years,....before the tree made it run a little rough
guess im just a lucky man .the ls 1s1s i ran must have had had 289000 thousand miles on them what do i know, to top it off i dont care bring them all on ,i love to race love all american muscle lets just do it
You say you have your own programming business? What CNC??? G and M code??
