My 12 sec mustang built in a garage after work and on weekends impresses me. With my wife being a pharmacist and myself owning my own programming business, I could have bought a 911 turbo and run low 11's stock. Not the piont. So from one ricer to another....do you get it.
That's a cockamamie statement. Do you think your gonna get a pat on the back from the spectaters and a asterisk next to your run time on your drag slip because you built your car yourself. pleeez

i don't get the " i built it" attitude either .......I spend MY time WITH my wife and kids.....I work to afford the car, not marry it every weekend.....spending my time under a car ,... or with family and friends, hmmm...?
i respect those that CAN build their own stuff....just don't diss the rest of us....

#1 I was not dissing anyone. It's not an " I built it" attitude either. Just making a point that anyone with money can buy a fast car. My 2 kids actually like working on the cars with me. If you don't work on your own ok, I appreciate things that I make rather than buy. #2 sorry to crazylane...There are a lot of people who are just in these forums to **** of others. #3 I don't need a pat on the back from anyone. I really don't give a **** what you think. So if you want to buy your speed ok. It's not my money. Some of the comments on here are really childish, but whatever. I think that the ones who get it get it and the ones who don't compensate with stupid comments.

OK, I am about to PUKE with all the MISINFORMED people posting here. It is quite funny.......you think you know, but you don't.

If you dont' think a mach is a driver's race with an LS..then you know JACK **** about machs.

And have to get machs high revs to drive it.....are you F'ing serious?.......GOWD DANG there are some idiots in here. The mach is harder to drive because of the LOW END TQ compared to the N/A cobra's which are the closest comparison to the mach.

DANG..some people are retards. Solid axle+Mach's TQ band+245/45s = SKILL NEEDED TO DRIVE.

Ed Zachary!

I put down a measly 320/340 on a Fremont dyno. But those 4.10's really make the sprint a bit quicker.

Yes, you've beat them, so that means that must be the way it is... as many people as there are running in the 13.2-13.4 range with bone stock Mach 1s, I'd say they certainly put up a fight.

yeah mach 1s are certainly faster than GT's (stock). I personally In or at Bradenton track in fl have never seen a stock mach1 run those numbers and i am at the track OFTEN. but in a different state, with different weather its possible

I have a friend with an 01ss and went 13.2 stock on radials, bolted some drag radials on it and went 12.8 bone stock. I think the the ls1 is under rated and the ls2 in the gto's are fast motors but the gto gives the ls2 a bad rep cause it weigh's so much. You really want to get your fellings hurt pull up to the line with a 06 CTSV and see how it feels to get out ran by a four door Caddy!

You just keep on believing that.....like I said......those that don't think a mach is a driver's race with an LS, knows nothing about them. Bone stock machs (tires/filter) and all...have gone 13.0-13.7 (M5)....maybe you just keep running into A4 machs.....which are relatively slower. The fastest stock A4 I have ever heard of was 13.5.....which is still a race against an A4 LS.

Maybe you are confusing my words of 'driver's race' with 'machs are faster'.

Pony, Noride, and the others....I'm with ya guys! I've only run into a couple of Machs and they were all VERY close. The best run I had with one was basically stock for stock. The Mach1 owner said his car was completely stock (and I believe him) and all I had was my SLP lid at the time (and also one passenger and the Mach1 driver was by himself) I went 3-2 against him with all five races being VERY close (I'm talking less than a body panel) except for one in which I was completely in the wrong gear, so I got walked.

I agree completely. A Mach1 versus LS1 F-body comes down to the better driver in my opinion.
