I believe...not really a fair comparison though. Mach 1's (M5's) are pretty
damned close to LS1's. Not bad for a small cube motor really.

Mustangs since I'm a GM guy.
I believe the '00R was a Ford productionvehicle.

And Randy W. if you don't think a Mach is a driver's race with an LS.....you dont' know much about them...like the other moron.
It's very simple......if some of you can not get this the first time you read it.......just keep reading it till you do.
DRIVER'S RACE.
Fbod - low to mid 13s
Mach - Low to mid 13s
HOW THE F**K is that NOT a driver's race??...come on people. Stop being IGNORANT.

As for LS1 vs Mach1 all the tests of the cars when new and unmodified showed the LS1's to be .2-.3 quicker, I know magazines aren't the best, but trends are trends. If the mag test driver is slow in one car he will be slow in the other and the relative difference will be the same.
I've noticed that when one runs out of intelligent things to say they start calling people names. If you need to see a moron so you can recognise him next time, look in the mirror.

Not really....it's just amusing, cause everytime you post about mustangs, you show your ignorance. It's one thing to be ignorant....it's a whole nother ball game to CHOOSE to be ignorant.
As for the magazine races...save it for the RICERS.......your comment would be true, if the cars were tested by the same guy, on the same day, on teh same track..otherwise, they have no bearing.
Like I said......the are bot low to mid 13 sec cars, driver track, etc. pending. I am sorry you cant' accept that.
Also, I said "like" the other moron. He has shown his stupidity on this subject, in this thread. If I was calling you a moron..I would do it. But like I stated above, you are ignorant..and if you continue to choose to be ignorant, then you would be a moron.

Some LS owners in here understand....I don't see why others can't.

i agree pony!! thats what people have been saying. its pretty difficult to launch those machs.. but i do like them. me being the original poster of this thread, was just wanting to know if that was b.s. that 05 gt put 4 car lengths on an ls1.. cuz i know the new 05 will probably not get away from the mach 1's from what i heard.

That is correct. Given all the BS thrown about mods, and exhaggeration (not to mention driver ability - everyone is John Force, right?)......It is possible, but highly unlikely.
And the mach is quicker than the S197 GTs. (generally of course).

I have never seen such numbers, so educate me and remove my ignorance. Now don't go hunting and find the fastest Mach against the slowest LS1 car, gather a preponerance of the cars and average the numbers. If you are honest you will see that the F-bodies were faster and quicker, if not continue to call people names and tell us how we look stupid for believing the evidence instead of your assurance. Having been racing since 1969 and going to the dragstrip since 1965, I tend to believe what I see over what I hear. I know believing my own eyes makes me a moron, how silly of me.

I am not going to post crap..that was my point. If you choose to be ignorant than you are less intelligent than many. You choose to not look up the facts, and you choose do want to know the truth. The fact that you rely on magazine's shows me just how much you know about the real life of this subject. YOu dont' know me, so I will thank you for not assuming that I am a biast person. If you would take the time to actually read my posts, you would see that I am a fair person, because I give respect where it is due, regardless of the car. You racing for 40 years has NOTHIGN to do with the topic at hand.......because racing for decades doesn't mean you know anything about the cars discussed. BTW - why is it that people always throw that out in a debate? If you think about it....it makes no sense.
Now, like I said..you are obviously having difficulty understanding the term driver's race.......since you have been around for 40 yrs, you should know that alot of things affect ETs..therefore, I always speak in general........like I said...since you are blind to my typing.....BOTH CARS are low to mid 13s. If you would venture out, into the mustang world..(namely those familiar with machs) you would understand this.
