HERE
I've seen guys run 10.80's @ 119mph. That is PLENTY to *** whoop
a C6 Z06. You do understand that real races are from a dig right?

tru; but i guess some of the members were thinking the samething. we were assuming that angus beat a stock c6 zo6 on street from a roll race with that 119 trap speed. we all know that track vs street is two different races.

Nope. Angus' car is setup for drag racing.

Not sure about that, we never did a before and after run in the 1/4. But in the 1/8, it helped him. And he is a very good driver. In the 1/8, he ran a 8.6 bone stock, then with the exhaust, intake, programmer, he ran a 8.4. But when we went to the 1/4 miles dragstrip, hes best was a 9.0 in the 1/8. I gave him credit though it was 95 degrees. So if he could have gotten a 8.4 then his 1/8 would have been about a 13.0.

Different tracks equal different prep? what's the Elev. at the track?. low 13s-13 flat is right about where he should be with those few items. If he really wants to open up the car, he would get a dyno tune. Box tunes for these cars are horrible.

Plus these cars are 'touchy' with the shift points.

Hey Angus...how much weight you have out of your car???

It would have to be a shitload.....

Mach 1' s are bonafide mid 13 sec cars......if driven like it was stolen with sticky rubber...maybe low 13's.

Both at like 105 mph.....so how are you running 119 with intake, gears, and exhaust

My Mach weighs ~ 3200 lbs with me in it, depending on how much gas I'm carrying in the tank.

More than a few completely stock Mach 1's have run 13.1 - 13.2 on the factory tires.
A smaller number have done 12.9 - 13.0 completely stock (including tires) with great drivers & good track/weather conditions.

With "Sticky rubber" (drag radials), many have gone 12's while otherwise completely stock.

Even more have done 12's with slicks as their only modification.

I have the right weight, launch aggressively & I put together a combo of parts that work well together.

I've trapped 120 MPH on a few of my N/A runs BTW...

So how much helium do you inhale and how hard was it to remove the chasis before weighing the car??

...or do you run helium for fuel (a feat considering it is a noble gas).

3,200 lbs is an insanely low weight for a Mustang, damn how did you rip that much weight off of it?

Not really. Dealership stock, a Mach 1 weighs in around 3465lbs. I removed the back seat from mine, but left everything else in place, including the spare tire and jack, and when I had it weighed, in came in at 3340lbs with a full 16 gallons of gas.

Ahh, okay. The Terminator Cobras are rather heavy, what with the iron block and all the supercharger hardware, somewhere in the neighborhood of ~3700+ lbs.

Wow, I guess my bonafided mid 13sec MACH1 must be a freak or something..... actually if I could get the power down on my MACH1, it seems rather easy to get low 13's. I do not consider myself a good driver either.
