the clutches are **** from the factory that and adding mods is going to shorten its life. i know its hard to take in all at once. My friends 96 gt is all done up and he can't get better than 14.5 at 96 so i think your worng about all cars you should try to generalize less.

3.2 60ft.? slipping clutch? why would you even bother bring it to the track? firstly it's a Saturn Ion Redline... Secondly, the clutch is slipping... are you asking for it? are you trying to set yourself up for harassment? i wouldn't race my car even my mirror was crooked, let alone a SLIPPING CLUTCH!! damn...

either GM put the lamest clutch in history in those cars, or everyone who buys them CAN'T DRIVE STICK .. every story is "my clutch slips", Which I believe... but the part I am having trouble figuring out is in the first line of my post ??

look at it this way A) it's FWD...B) it's a tiny little coupe with a Ricer wing (I hate that Fuqing Wing)on it.. C) you're on LS1Tech.. home of the Chevy Small block, not "tiny" block so you're not going to get any respect here, unless you're running 10's with it.. these guys aren't into those cars. it's like the Vette crowd always "shitting" on the FBodys "if I had a solid rear axle I'd be in the 8's too" argument.. let it go..

if and WHEN those cars get fast, is when they will not be picked on so much.. you don't hear too many people "slapping" around EVO's & STi's or for that matter a 3000GTVR4, why? because for very little $$$ they are low 12 high 11 and faster.. same with Supra Turbos.. the Cobalts just aren't that quick.. hell the SRT4's are more respected by GM guys for their ability to make 400+WHP on the stock bottom end and run very quick on the hwy.. the Cobalt needs to dump that "whining" heat pump and pack a nice Turbo on there.. then you will be moving

Besides the Corvette guys don't **** on the f-body guy much on this site. Mostly because there are almost twenty times the number of f-body owner guys than only Corvette (as in they don't or haven't ever owned a F-body) guys on this site.
