1999 SS vs. 2000 ZX6R
Ok i have this guy at work who is cocky as hell, and he cant stand that i have a faster car than him, so hes going to buy a bike. Its 2000 ZX6R. Both of us only weigh like 130lbs. My car is a M6 with a catback and cold air intake, and a 90 wet shot. The bike only has a slip on pipe. Can i beat him?

Here we go again...
The 2000 ZX6R is fast, but not like the 2003+ Supersport 600's. It makes right at 90-97 rwhp and tend to run low 12's to high 11's with a 150ish top speed. I owned on from new/stock to 26,000 miles/modded.
My prediction is from a low speed roll is you wll catch him at about 80ish or so and pull him from there. I raced a 2000 ZX6E which was the model under the R and is about 10 less and pulled him pretty bad.
This bike will be a easier bike for a LS1 as they do not make th power that the 2003+ supersport 600's make.

Is this the part where all the 600+ hp Ls1 guys list all the bikes they've killed with "boltons" ???
OR , is this where the experts explain how bikes hit an air barrier at 100 mph and stop ???
once again, Sneakyws6.....very nice answer.....

this kinda thread has already been started and will only end up in people because they dont understand. you need a lot of power to beat any newer 600(assuming the rider is half-way decent)...... i could barely hang with R6's without my cam and i made 470rwhp, with cam, im not sure......

Sounds like he has no experience with bikes, race him from a dig. He won't be able to launch. With your mods, you won't beat the bike but I think you can get the rider easy.
Else, race from a high roll. Speeds in the 100's tend to show their weakness. Good luck.

600's are hard to launch from a dead start.you have to take off at about 10,000 to launch good.you should be able to beat him from a dead start but he will catch you. 600's go high 10s in 1/4 and top out around 158mph. i had a 03 600rr and went 11.50@121 and it was hard to get out of the hole and im a pretty good rider.

Here is what you do. Tell him you will race him, but he must start a few feet directly in front of your car if he thinks his bike is so fast. Put the pressure on him. I scared off a a GSXR by doing that. Off course I was kidding but he didn't know that.
Inexperienced driver + crock rocket......It will just be a matter of time before he wraps the bike round a pole. Trust me...
