I agree.. Up until I got my WRX I had no clue what sr20(Silvia motor) or rb26(Skyline motor) meant. While they are becoming more in the lime light because of drifting I don't think the average car buff knows what they are.

In any case the sr20 isn't that great (still a good motor) of a motor. Only runs like 7psi stock or so. But the damn car is so light and RWD it makes for a quick car with little hp.

Yes SR20 is a 4 cylinder!
SR20DI/SR20DE/SR20De is a non Turbo with 115-150 hp and the SR20 DET is the Turbo/Intercooled version. It was installed in the Pulsar GTI-R (220hp) and 200/240SX with 200 hp from factory

Ok thanks, maybe I misunderstood the guy or he just dont know what he's talking about. For those of you who dont know, these things can be fast as hell, I have seen a right hand drive Silvia conversion around here walk a 360rwhp bolt on Z28, and a 325rwhp bolt on Mach 1. He had the Sr20deT I think.

nissans in the us never got the sr20det, we have the shity Ka24de. they were a japanese motor only due to emisions here. the motor is very strong and can handle 500hp+ on the stock internals. and like any car with a turbo, it needs to spool to make power so a v8 with more low end torque and less HP(but more under the curve) shouldnt have any problems with one.

good race, was kind of shity quality though and it didnt look like you two started off at the same time either. but you would have gotten em reguardless.

That has become a VERY popular swap! Two people i know have them, My friend just finished up the swap on his 1995 240SX, he paid 3500 for the motor and trans I told him for that price he should have went the LS1/T56 route my car kills him by a few car lengths, easily
