But wait...something is fishy here.....I read he's on an interstate, then all of the sudden they approach an INTERSECTION...What gives......?

Interstates are defined as freeways with COMPLETE on and offramps with NO crossroads/intersections .....Did this really happen my friend? I'm leaning on calling
trying not to give the freeway because of the cop involved, but we were coming through BW8 which crosses over the interstate in Houston, anyone that lives in Houston know what I am talking about.

I could care less if you believe me or not, this happened this morning and it was the best run I have had with the TA... the fact that you believe me or not I could care less

I don't care if the road was empty. Going that fast on the street is stupid.

You live in Hawaii so I understand your point of view. But there are many spots in California on our interstates where you can easily get to 150mph without any significant danger .

I-40 east of Barstow
State route 58 (east of Bakersfield)
I-5 in the Central Valley

Just to name a few. On the street is a different story, and if theres an intersection involved racing at any speed is foolish...

Racing that fast on the street is silly.

I've street raced many times. Never been over 80 as by then it is usually apparent who is gonna win. I've also never raced anyone that wanted to go over that speed.

Living in Hawaii doesn't matter. I'm from Alabama and know of places just like what you talk of.

I still think its dumb.

Sometimes you just got to get a little need for speed in your ride, it's healthy for you and your car.

I've never been over 80mph in a race. durrr

80mph will get you a nasty ticket in hawaii.

30mph over on first offense is $1000 bucks. So if the speed limit is 25 and you are doing 55 then thats $1k or if the speed limit is 45 and you are doing 75 then thats $1k.

Its retarded. Some of the interstates here have speed limits as low as 40mph.

Back home yeah I cruise at 80mph.

But even then I had never been over ~80mph in a street race because its usually really obvious who was gonna win by then.

totally if you pass a cop at that speed keep going. i had the same thing happen to me on the highway once, came around the corner and got plastered with a lasar, saw 120 on my speedo and had a brain fart trying to figure out what i wanted to do so i just waved saw him hit the lights in my rearview, got around the bend a lil more and put it to the floor and didnt see him again, i think i just got lucky there wasnt any other staties in the area tho..
sweet race btw!

Having been born and raised in Hawaii I can vouch for the ticket costs, however, ironic as it is to have Interstates in Hawaii, Oahu is the only island that can boast any sort of roads that even allow you to hit high speeds. Maui, where I'm from, has only maybe 2 spots with enough road to get a decent race in. Avoiding the Pineapple trucks that cross the road are another story......The local track truly is the only great place to run it. Right at sea level and humid as hell.

And for the record, 80mph is boring.

dude honestly racing at high speeds is stupid unless there is no one and i mean no one else on the road and both racers are aware that they will die if something goes wrong. But 80 mils per hour ive been in races faster than that wiht my grand am i noramlly stop at 120. Nice run with the C6 by the way, i hope to have around 40 to 430 next summer.

400 at the wheels with a h/c bolt-on car? Either your tune really does suck or your cam is lame. I would think a h/c 75 shot would have no problem taking out a regular C6.
