I think what the OP meant by held is that both cars were still accelerating gaining speed but neither car was able to pull away from the other. He wasn't implying the cars had topped out just that from 140 and up he was able to hold a 1/4 car lead.

if your pushing 425 hp to the wheels. then ofcourse you would beat a c6 vette. their pushing probly 340 to 360 hp to the wheels stock im assuming? watch out though, the 07 vettes are coming with auto 6-speeds. will be tougher to beat them from a roll at higher speeds.

i can understand why the hawaii guy is saying doing over 80 is retarded due to the highway conditions and tickets in hawaii, but dont knock on everyone else for doing it here in the states. i know of plenty of spots to bring it up to 130, but that usually the fastest ill go.
