Default My LT1 vs a stock WS6 LS1

Well a kid just got a stock WS6 LS1, nice car, but he thinks it's the fastest. Cool guy, though. Anyways he's been talking a lot of **** at school that i've been hearing about, thinking LS1 TA will own an LT1 Camaro.

I'm out just cruising because it was a nice night and out of nowhere he calls me up. "Yea we should go race right now, I have a passenger so go pick one up so we're even."

Sure enough, he's with some 120lb girl that he's trying to impress. So I go pick up a friend of mine to make it "even" (250lb guy, 120lb girl, w/e)

We head out to a new road outside of town with 0 traffic, 0 dirt, 0 houses, etc. I did a huge smokey burnout and start to stage and out of nowhere he just launches. I was like.. uhh k? He came back and said "I beat you" and I was just like.. "never even got off the brake."

So I did the 3 honk so he would launch when I launched. Did a big smokey burnout, just pedaled 1st gear to stay beside him and then got on it in 2nd. As soon as I stopped spinning in 2nd.. well you'll see what happens.

Chaulk one up for the ole Z. He doesn't call me and ask to race anymore, either.

He's been saying ****, I just say ''k, whatever." I know my car could kill him, but just because the way he called me and said ''lets race right now'' i knew something was up, and sure enough a girl he was trying to impress. Hard to impress a girl when you get your **** tossed

Wait for spring 07 baby.. turbo'd LS1 here I come.

Have auto mechanics class in the mornings (free labor and cheap parts on anything I do), go to high school in the afternoons, work after school every day and every weekend at a car audio shop, and part out fbodies after I get off work.

Busy, little time for honeys, but I have the fasest car in the parking lot and quite possibly the fastest daily driver car in town.

I have my priorities straight

BTW, no my parents don't love me enough to pay for the car or mods. It's all out of my pocket, for some of you who are jealous/lazy.

Did that other kid's parents buy him his car? I only ask because any sort of "car guy" would probably know about your car, and what it had. Even if he was a couple years younger, someone would probably know and let him know. Maybe they did, and he has no idea what "383" meant?

Either way, good job in shutting him up. Kids like that are annoying.

Ya, lol, not hard to afford a decent car if you don't have to worry about rent, utilities, food, etc. Even with school. Impressive though. I wish I was wise about cars in high school. I'd have a fully built car by now lol

Yes the kids parents paid for the car. He is 15. He had a nice eclipse that he totaled by running in to a parked car so the obvious answer is to buy him an LS1 TA right after.

383 Camaro doesn't mean much to any kid who thinks a TA is the fastest car made.

It's not like my car sounds stock. Doesn't look stock, doesn't sound stock, probably isn't stock. Headers, ORY, and Magnaflow. The magnaflow does do a pretty good job of hiding the lope but you can hear it if you know anything about a car.

Not ******* on TAs obviously, but he is always like "I'll race anyone because I have a Trans Am."

I just thought it would be funny to shut up someone who likes to talk a lot, that's all. I asked him afterwards if he wanted to race on a longer road and he said "why so you can smoke me again?"

My thoughts also. Pretty cool guy but I don't think he pays enough attention to drive an LS1.

I'm still loving my car being 17, no tickets either. A race from me is a rare occasion, only if there is something to prove. I obviously wasn't going to deny this kid with some girl in front of him, gotta turn him red sometimes.
