what he means is they are modded but still put out a low number. I would never turbo a 350Z because the S/C give them a better efficiency, and a low number in the quarter, unless someone who knows how to tune a turbo Z better.

I think I should be a little more clearer, I called the tt 350Z "dogs" in terms of price and hp output. It's been a while and I'm probably out of the loop on these 350Z's.. with the HKS tt setup were runing mid 11's-low 12's. Those kits were runing in the $10 thousand dollar range plus supporting mods, and a tune your looking around $13-15k plus the price of the car. IMO, thats a tad ridiculous but to each his own.

I'd say things start getting fast around 800-900 RWHP. Under that, and I don't even know if I'd attempt to drive through the McDonald's drive through for fear of getting stuck due to lack of power...

I won't even drive with a passenger in my SS. The extra weight just bogs down my shitty LS1 too much

No there not, mine weighed 3179 without me in it and this was with the turbokit on. The 03-04's are the lightest versions, if you get the basic model. There are people that have tip the scales at 3050.

Well accroding to Nissan they weigh in around 3200 lbs give or take a few between the different models. I don't know why a carmaker would lie about things like that. I don't know who is weighing your car but 150-200lbs plus another 100-200 lbs for the driver.. it's an awful lot of weight and I don't think you can get that much out of it? Maybe its gutted it by 400lbs but even then your cutting it close with you in it. I call bullshit

You do know that people have already ran 13.7 in a 100% STOCK 06 WRX right? Show me a SRT-4 stock running close to mid 13's..

Sorry but people have some mis-information about a WRX.

My g35x with me, 500 pounds of sand in the trunk, 4 passengers and twin turbonators only weighs in at 3300 pounds FWIW.

With what, a gutted interior and no body panels??

You're a moron, curb weight on those cars is 3400lbs.

Damn, a whole 98MPH?? I'm impressed

Obviously its going to be faster than an SRT-4, it has AWD. It doesn't make any more power though, stock for stock. In fact, WRX's dyno significantly lower than SRT-4's. And the SRT-4 isn't really a benchmark in anything, so I don't see what you're bragging about.

More lies...and not saying your Z doesnt weigh in at that weight but you have to have the most stripped Z out there. This past summer I went with all my buddies to the track, consisted of a 380 awhp evo, 365 whp srt-4 with .50 trim, and my buddy with an 05 350z with pop charger and borla catback. He does have some heavy 18 inch aftermarket wheels on there but still with him in the car (180 pounds), his car weighed in at 3427 pounds. For you to have a base 350z with a turbo kit that weighs in at 3179 pounds with you in it you must have the LIGHTEST factory Z ever or you have some serious weight reduction. Maybe they made a light weight version and if you have a link to it post it up as I havent heard of it before.

Dude do you have any clue? Who was bragging? I was just setting the record straight that the WRX isn't slower in the 1/4 then an SRT-4..

And get off the "Oh it has AWD" bandwagon. Who the F*** cares why a car is fast. Facts are facts. He stated that the WRX wasn't really in the realm of the SRT-4 and thats just not true.

And I've started this before. Just cause my car only traps what a lightly modded ls1 would doesn't change the fact that at the finish line I'm 3 cars ahead. Until the NHRA changes it's rules and give FWD and RWD cars a running start at the line, your post is pointless.

I care, and so does anyone else with any common sense. Trap speed indicates the cars overall power and acceleration. After the launch, a WRX isn't going to feel or accelerate faster than any other cars that traps at 98MPH. And that isn't fast.

And I've started this before. Just cause my car only traps what a lightly modded ls1 would doesn't change the fact that at the finish line I'm 3 cars ahead. Until the NHRA changes it's rules and give FWD and RWD cars a running start at the line, your post is pointless.
So you can get from point A to point B quickest. You're car still isn't fast, its quick. The car is only as fast, power and acceleration wise, as its trap speed suggests. Hence the reason why an LS2 GTO running 13.0 is a hell of lot faster than an STI running 13.0, even though they both cross the line at the same time. From a roll its domination, and nobody stops in the middle of the highway to try and race from a dig.
