Got schooled by a Rare & Expensive car last night I ran up on this new Mercedes on I-640 yesterday after leaving work, it was an SL 600. I had no idea this thing had a V-12 in it until I got up beside it, I was like Holy ****! The guy had his top down and looked over at my Z-28 then nailed it, I wasn't ready so I let him go then we lined up again and this time I gave him everything I had but that damn SL just spanked the living hell out of my Z-28. I got on the internet and did a little research on them this morning and found out they have a Twin Turbo V12 that makes over 600 ft. lbs. of Torque and the price tag is over $130,000.00. DAMN! That car would give a C6 Z06 a damn run. This was the first time I've ever seen one, I thought it was just another slow *** two seater but once I saw that V-12 emblem I knew this would be way too much for me to handle. I think it's time for a Pro Charger and a 402 stroker for the Z. Guess I know where my overtime is going, I will get my revenge on that rich guys ***! Where do these people get this money for cars like that? That car cost more than my house did.

Ive seen 2 of them, but neither one would punch it, pity, i dont mind V12's beating me. In fact a Murcielago handed me my *** the other day, it wasnt fair tho, he got a head start

I'm ordering my Kit next week and I'm going hunting. I was going to hold off a while but this has me wanting a re-match! I think a 150 shot should take care of him, we'll see.

The twin turbo model is a SL65 AMG just be carefull when running them they'll do 200+ if given enough room and that Mercedes trans alwyas puts it in the powerband.

Nothing to be ashamed of there.
When I lived in San Diego I wanted to get over a lane but there was a Lambo. murci there so, I hit the gas. Apparentley he did too cause next thing I know he's like 6 cars in front of me.

Ive seen a video i think streetfighter it was a Sl65 vs. a 06 Z06 in vages on the freeway, The Sl65 pulled away about 3 cars, You got to love the V12 bi turbo badges

seems to be really a driver's race. Both cars trap similar times. I say top speed to the amg, from a dig, i say z06 all day.

If not then watch out if you do!you have to have cars like that to keep up on i-40 through knoxvegas, i have been cruising at 80 through there before and still being passed regularly. and thats in heavier damn traffic. wish they would chill out on all the damn road work out there though. it is guantlent(sp) to get to the Hot Rod Barn from the interstate. but i always see some Porsche's and 'vettes to play with out there. too bad i am usually in the LT1 and seeing alot of tailights.

Man stroke that LT1 out to a 383 and spray it, then you won't have a problem at all spanking some of these top dollar cars.

With a 130,000 Dollar MSRP you gotta wonder what he really payed. No benz dealer let that thing go for msrp, figure in sales tax, luxury car tax, and phew....
