yes, all 03/04 SVT cobras have the 4V heads, forged internals and eaton blowers.

Feel free to PM me if you wish. I'm an old school guy learning turbo and s/c set-ups. I don't know it all, but I love to talk about cars!

Ummm...you forgot the part about spending $3K+ for a blower swap
to get to that kind of power. Also, people tend to under estimate
the $$$ required to get a Cobra to handle 600+rwhp. A few bolt ons
and a pulley couldn't be anymore unrealistic....no offense of course...
just stating facts.

Regarding '03 Cobra motors, a friend has one swapped into a Fox 'stang
and he cracks off 8.50's @ 165mph. He's done that on the stock motor
with a good sized turbo.

You're right, 700+RWHP. I typoed the middle of my post. Lol. But Are you one of the owners of MSX?..

I am going to post why they gave the Cobra that nickname, but NO ONE flame me or even try to start or give me ****. I'm serious. Being that this is an LS1 site, some of you who don't know how they got their nickname might not like it.I'm not trying to start anything. I'm just informing you guys on why and how they received their nickname..

They were nicknamed the "Terminator" because they terminated the rivalry competition with the Camaro and other competitors of the Mustang.

I had always thougt it was 2K+ for a pulley, but I also know very little about Stangs. How does a Cobra's drivetrain hold up to gobs of power? Im assuming its stronger than an F-bods. About when does its rear/tranny begin to fail? Ive learned with experience that this is the F-bods weakest and most expensive upgrades

I did my pulley swap for under 600 bucks, fairly easy mod to do...just finding the right belt size is a bitch sometimes.

But to the orginal poster, an 03-04 cobra isnt the baddest car in the land by far but, but its certainly not something id take lightly.

It's the first car that Ford was able to build that could beat an F-body since the LS1 came out ahahahah j/k guys.

The 03-04 cobra runs mid-high 12s stock and is a force to be dealt with either at the street or at the drag strip. Throw some mods at it and watch out.

My pulley was about $130 and then the tuner to go with it with 3 tunes cost me another $399. Huge power gains for only $530. The tranny is strong since it's a T-56. The weak link is the IRS. You can break the IRS with bad wheel hop at stock power levels. It's all about making sure to let off the gas if you encounter wheel hop. I'm sure there many many guys out their that drag race with slicks and the stock IRS. I think their half shafts are on borrowed time. I've gone to the track and raced mine, but to be honest, I was nervous about breaking my rear end. Many things though that you can do to make them pretty darn strong.

Agreed. my pulley swap only cost 450 but i just got a mail order tune and havent dynod it yet. soo 600 sounds about right for a pulley swap. i went by the recomended belt sizes and man they were waaaaaaaaaaay off. i had to try 4 diferent belts.

I purchased a Billetflow pulley and they provided the exact right belt. They also had a chart for all the belt applications for the various pullies. I only purchased the one belt and it worked great.
