when i was at school ( Universal Tech Inst ) they put the nology hot wires on a civic si and it made 1hp and 1 ftlb. not a very good bang for the buck.
full bolt ons and a 75 shot of nitrous it couldnt brake 200hp.

Yeah, they aren't really for power production... but they do alot to smooth out the power/torque curves from what I hear, just like the aftermarket grounding-wire kits.

it as funny watching that thing on the dyno. the majority of the kids at the school were all import worriors. they looked so heart broken when it didnt brake 200 horse. then it was even more funny when the 98 z28 camaro went on and with bolt ons and a 100 shot made 450 horse. then a 04 gt went on the dyno with full bolt ons a tune and a 150 shot put down 430 horse. then the import kids started runnin their mouths about horsepower per litre. like anyone gave a sh*t

It's all about the power to weight!
My buddy firmly believes a 300whp civic could outrun a 600whp GTO

Maybe a 400rwhp GTO, certainly not a 600rwhp

Leslie Durst was the first Honda in the 8s a couple years ago, and her's only had something like 333whp (I might be thinking of Bisi's 1.5l car, which ran 10.0 I believe) ... but it was completely gutted; a race car. Not sure if it was tube-chassis or not, but still a race car. The fastest I can see a street-driven (on a regular basis) Civic running is maybe mid-high 11s, depending on model/setup/weight.

333WHP? What did it weigh? 1000lbs? Yikes.
