Drives, what were your 60ft times? I can't for the life of me figure out my slow-er time with a high speed. 13.14 @ 111.14mph. My 60ft on that run was 2.13.

 

this car is a dog off the line. best i could get were like 1.9s. you can really feel the throttle controlling the vehicle at a sticky track. you hit the gas and it bogs like hell till the 100' mark and then screams.

 

I raced one the other day. The guy was a real *******. Was riding my *** so I let him go around me. And as fate would have it, I caught up to him at a few lights down the road as two lanes merge into one. I looked over at my wife, calmly turned the traction control off, and when the light turned green, let her rip. He left before me and I still walked past him like he was standing still in my bone stock C5. Pretty sad if you ask me. He really thought he had a race car though!!

 

I'm guessing it was an 6 cylinder car.

 

No it had the Hemi! Thats why I was so shocked when I beat him.

let me know if you wanna go against my srt8 apparently you dont know the difference between an srt8 and an RT.

 

It was an SRT8. I had a few seconds to see the badging on the car before I blew past him. And just name the time and place to run em!!!

 

ive also seen a v6 300 put srt8 badges on (i think i posted the pic here). if your C5 is truely stock, then i find it hard to believe that he got the jump on your and you still pulled past him "like he was standing still" come on up to the northside and we can do a little testing. i havent raced any C5s yet. most are old farts who try to get good gas mileage. i run into a ton of bmws that wanna run though. some mercedes as well.

 

Im not trying to be a dick or anything, I just told it like it was. Where at on the northside are you located. I live in Park Forest just off of I-57. I would love to run our cars for ***** and giggles. Let me know!

 

Im with Drive...that was problably a V6 or a regular RT with the SRT8 badge!!...did it had red or silver BIG BREMBO calipers??????

 

I have snapped off a few SRT-8's in my stock Vette as well.

 

I raced an SRT8 before. I would beat him by like 2 cars from a stop with him on Drag Radials. I've also raced C5's before and beat them more then that. From a stop and a roll.

I am not really sure. I looked at pics of the SRT8 Chargers online and it was the same thing that I saw on the street, the hood, the body, etc... It might be a clone car although in my opinion I think its a waste of time to do all of that to a V6

Thank you at least I am not the only one. I know that I dont have the fastest car on the road, but its still pretty quick for bone stock (for right now!!)

 

when my only mods were a stall, nitto's and cb, I could take an str8 charger from a dig to around 80-90, [ when I would shut down].
But I could not hang with them from a roll.

 

musta raced some monday cars. although im a couple tenths slower when im heatsoaked so it could be possible.
