im going to assume you are cam only with bolt ons. and he is fairly new to the cobra cause that slp package is a waste of money much better parts to be had for cheaper, imo. when you raced you had what 380 rwhp give or take a little. the cobra dependin on the pulley has around what 430-460 before the headers give or take a little also. with that said if he learns how to drive that car you will need that 150 shot or upgrade to a bigger cam and throw some heads on too and not worry about him until he upgrades his supercharger. so my money is on the cobra.

Spend the $500 to get your car tuned. With your mods you should have been at least 12.0

i was just throwing out at best numbers for that car since its now tuned. i wasnt paying attention when it said he didnt have it tuned for the race. either way the cobra if he can get traction should still beat him unless he sprays

Yea, i think i should have been close to 12.0 that day IF i would have had a tune, then i could have bragged to my friend in his cobra that i beat him....instead of running the same time he did!.... but at the same time, i think if he drops his 60ft from 1.9 to 1.7 like me, he should be at 12.0 as well.... Its an on going battle with me and him in our small town. Hes the guy known with the quick cobra and im the fast camaro, so we're always having a chevy/ford battle.

I never had problems with other year cobras, even if they were supercharged, but damn those 03-04's!!! Finally some good competition!!! I think us ls1 guys needed it!!! What also scares me is that he said he almost has enough money saved up to get a TWIN SCREW kenne bell super on there!!!!! ... In that case.. i will definetly have to spray on him!!!!
Yea, watch out for those twin screws. There is always someone faster, but in most cases a twin screw just about equals death to any car it races. And you damn LS1's with your big shot of nitrous put a lot of car 6 feet under also. Lol. That just reminds me that I need to keep modding. Good luck with the next race. Let us know how it turns out.

If the Cobra 60' foots better then I think the win would go to him if he can't hook or has to slip the clutch to get off the line so his IRS doesn't give the win will go to you.
My Cobra goes 127mph on the stock blower with out the spray at 11.6, but that because I can't keep the IRS together and I'm slipping the clutch and only cutting a 2.0 sixty footer on DR. Broke two IRS's in three weeks

I added a higher stall, from a 3200 to a 3800 (so i should have even a lower 60ft than before) and i got a LS6 intake, 85mm ported/polish TB and im getting a tune(finally!).

What size pulley is he running? Is he looking into a port job on the blower and a lower pulley as well? Just curious. Yeah, 4.56 gears would be stupid on a 03/04 cobra.

Were you ported?
What pulley combo were you running when you ran this time?

It's Ported, I've got a 10lb lower and 3.1 upper, dynos 540rwhp on blower it's a stiggy 3 making only 9psi due to the VE of the built motor. The motors been gone thru and the heads have been cleaned up a little and the car has cams and LT.
Lost my job to a plant closing, so the cobra is on the back burner for a bit, next up is a solid 8.8, then a 3.4l whipple.

Good news for him, bad news for you if he goes twin screw. Def need that 150 shot then.

Hey there is no shame in spraying to win a race, that's a mod you paid good money for just like any other mod. I get pissed when people imply that spraying is cheating or something, and I don't even have any! Run what you brung, right?
IMO, you should spray his *** and see how it turns out. And get it on vid so we can watch.
