But even then you'd have a light car with 50 less hp but a broad torque curve. The 4 bangers are to peaky. Their light weight is seriously overhyped as an advantage.

That pic is the cherry on top of this e-**** mega battle.

To the DSM guy with 35psi, if you are willing to street race at all, you have no right to judge anyone elses driving.

I street race myself, but I never go around saying that, if I had them, that I was worried about my wife and kid on the street because so and so was driving poorly.

It is hypocritical.

The magazine times for the GT500 border on disgusting. 4.4-4.7 0-60 and 12.7-13.0 in the 1/4 mile. I have read that similar to the GT Supercar the cars are tuned really conservative. They seem to really open up once they get some miles on them or with a tune.

I'll be your huckleberry. Two stipulations.

1. We race from a 140 roll

2. You can only put it in the highest gear you have before you floor it!

I think i look at these threads just to see that pic.

To the DSM guy, I assumed that with your need to prove your car you wouldn't turn down a streetrace. Your current attitude, not that I'm making judgements, just seems to be the right kind to never back down from a race.

is that wrong?

Right or wrong are irrelevant. Its simply incorrect. I havent done any actualy street racing for years, and since I live 10 minutes from a world class track with open racing twice a week (once it ******* OPENS, grrrr) there's no reason to street race.

I'll see if I can find some big turbo 4G64 dynos to post. Not peaky. In fact 2.3 and 2.4L DSMs have a stroke very similar to most small blocks.
