There's 2 guys that live just up the road from 97RedZ28's place, one's 350Z is silver, other is black. Thankfully they don't go buy revin at his Z or my other buddy's DSM - I'm sure both of their cars would hand them their ***'

Considering pre 07's have hit mid 13's at 103mph, seems pretty logical, that 350z's are more than capable of turning high 13's stock. What you claim to have seen at the track, is called "drivers era". The fact, that there
s more than a half a sec difference, between what you quoted and the best time of a pre 07, justifies, what I have been saying.

It is funny becuase, everyone on here that has a GTP, claims to have pulled a 350z by cars again! And to think (not a magazine racer but......) most magazines have not broken 13's yet in a GTP, but have ran as quick as 13.7 in a G35. Now, we know that a G35 is heavier than a 350z, so take those times I listed into consideration and you can throw those mid 14sec. times you claim out the window!

Have you ever seen a 350z powerband? What gives you the idea that they are? A cars powerband, just isnt determine by liters. If that were the case, viper owners would say the same thing about your cars not having a nice powerband!

Seems to me, you do not have the mental aptitude, to discern different variations of 350z's. You feel as though, pre-07's and 07's, share the same powerplants! If you would do, what is called "research", you would know, that the motor, shares no resemblence to its predecessor.

To define a 350z as slow, is completely moronic. Considering, the majority of ls1's, ls2's, C5 and C6, still make their claim to fame, in the 13's.

Knowone said it was, but it surely isnt slow either. Those times, are for amature drivers, who for one, do not know how to launch their cars. As posted earlier, they have hit mid 13's.

It will be a cold day in hell when I see a bone stock 350Z hit mid 13's at the track. It just doesn't happen.

They aren't much lighter than an F-Body, either. The Coupe weighs 3339-3404lbs, depending on trim. With 306HP, they probably only put about 250HP to the wheels, which isn't impressive at all. Not only that, but the powerband it shitty for drag racing as well. 306HP at 6800RPM and 268lb/ft of torque at 5200RPM?? So basically you either launch hard and fry the tires, or launhc low and have it bog down and fall way, way off the powerband. Real good

Where do you live onebad? Also there are videos of stock z's running 13.4-13.6 on a few sites.. Stock... The only point you have to worry about in the powerband is first gear. As every other gear is right in it. With a good launch the z's do alright. Hense on street tires they can pull low 1.9 60's on 235/50/17 street tires.

Most z drivers are old men or rotten kids that don't know how to drive. There are a quite a few who know how to drive.

For any stock car it is.
Anything that can run a 13 second time out of the box is a pretty quick car by street standards, even today.
When the LS1 debuted in 98, it was only a mid 13 car.

I don't go to the the short roads much anymore (the strip) but I have personally never seen a stock 350Z go lower then a 14.1.
But my input is null to none because I have only seen a handful of passes from them.

A bud of mine said he witnessed a 13.9 pass.
I don't think the 350Z's are slow by any means, but they are certainly not the beasts some people think they are.

Show me a video of a stock 350Z running a 13.4 and I'll show you a video of a 350Z thats not anywhere near stock.

They don't run those times in stock form. Most mags hit 13.9-14.1. Thats a half second faster than the best time the car should be running. Thats like someone coming on and saying that ran a 12.4 in their stock LS1. It just doesn't happen, use some common sense and stock being an ignorant fanboy.

No car with 230WHP that weighs 3400lbs is going to going to hit 13.4 bone stock. Its not possible. The 07's are more powerful (still not going to hit 13.4), but how many of those have actually ran at the track yet anyway?? No many, so please stop arguring the impossible.

The cars you see running 13.4 aren't stock. Case closed.

My 04 350z 100% to the tires and nissan air filter with 13.8@102. Sinfull on here can vouch for my runs and has the videos to boot.

Also on ls2gto.com a guy on there with the name veetec. Posted his 13.4 run for his stock 07 350z. You need to do alittle more research before you open your mouth. My car with 252rwhp went 13.4@103.59. It's more than just hp/tq. The right gear setup can do alot.
