here's another vid that puts car vs. bike issue into perspective
long but GOOD
883rwhp viper vs. hayabusas
http://videos.streetfire.net/search/...9d004329bc.htm

btw, the new GSXRs 1k and hayabusas are a drivers race to ~190mph (given no limiter @186), then the hayabusas aerodynamics takes over.

SIGH......I am now going to have to go find a damn GXR1000 in the day light and film it. There is a guy in town I am getting ready to call. His GXR1k is highly modded and he is a bad *** rider. I am going to set this up. I will race him from a 10mph roll to 130ish. I then will post the video.

Not saying it's impossible and trust me there are some nasty cars in KY down here. Several go up to Chicago to street race with teh big boys and take their money with a AWD 90 Talon that is a BEAST on the street. But to beat a 1k it takes a helluva car. My buddy gave a 900 rwhp Hemi Cuda the break from a leave 1/8th mile and barely beat him. And he runs 5.8's constant in the 1/8th. From a roll a bike is easier to beat but it does take one helluva car I know that.

Oh yeah I agree, it takes a pretty nasty car to take down a liter bike, no doubt. Probably 97% of the cars on the road wouldnt stay within eye distance of one.

most bikes that I have seen don't 60 as good as a well setup suspension car. I would think it easier to drill one from a dig rather than roll.

STFU, it ruins the thread for everybody else. Nobody wants to hear you cowshit reasons why he should've lost, he didn't, end of story.

I wish I was a mod.

I've made over 400 to the wheels and I still say it can't happen. In my buddies 400+whp TA with full suspension and nittos, we got beat by a 750.

It doesn't matter...a 400rwhp car WILL NOT beat a newer (in this case 2005) 1000 Gixxer. It doesn't matter if the rider can ride well or not. The rider was not racing, period. I own one and I can assure you at 50mph in 5th gear a 05 Gixxer 1k will walk away from a 400rwhp T/A. It takes atleast 500rwhp to beat a new 600, 700rwhp to beat a new 750, and over 1000rwhp to beat a liter bike (given the riders know what they are doing). Like I said racing a bike is easy as hell, you can learn to ride one well within 2 months. Racing a bike from a roll is easier than racing a car from a roll. You don't even have to use a clutch with a bike.

Not to be raining on parades or anything, but I had a 01 gsxr 1k, a tl1000rr and a ZX-10r, and I would run 10.3 Consistantly @ 138 with no straps on street tires... I've lost one drag race to a 1100 hp supra, but that was on the Vegas strip.

If you did kill him, then he better sell that bike..
