Well those are my options right now. a F.I of some sort on a MAF Fox. something to play around with in the 12's, a F-body with spray, or a 03 cobra...but prices are still quite high for them even still.

The F-body only thing that makes me quiver is 2 guys i work with have them and both have rear end problems. One auto other a firehawk m6. Never had problems with the 8.8 and i beat the crap out of that thing.

I have had so far 1972 Mach 1 w/ 351 auto, 1986 Mustang GT, 1991 Mustang GT hatch, and now a 98 GT. Dad has a 97 modded Cobra. So its always been mustangs but as soon as i got beat by a WS6 i needed to find out what it was because i asked the dude what it meant and all he said was..."ls1 kid" So i found out what it was, it looked amazing. Red with black wheels and some old dude driving. KILLED me.

One of the few F-bod weaknesses. It's pretty easy to do a 9 inch or 8.8 swap. Ironic how a few Ford parts help out the almost perfect LS1 Fbod.

Um...you all do realize that in the beginning they were being sarcastic right?

Later it gets dumb. I guess it comes down to how idiotic people are with their 'slightly' bolt ons...I mean...a blower bolts on right? (sarcasm).

I like how on this forum there are tons of stories of LS1/Lt1's beating Mustangs but I looked thru a few pages on that site and there where no stories about beating a LS1/LT1. Just a guy pissed because he lost to one so his friend hit/kicked the WS6. LOVE IT!

haha.

That site doesnt have much street racing on it. This is the one with plenty of F-body vs. Mustang races. Even a Gt vs. Vette H/C/I video recently.

HAHAHAH...bolt ons, 4.10s and "good" tune . That tune better include FI or a huge *** shot of N2O! Either that, or I need to go talk with the guy that tuned the thing

Hey, yea I used to every once in a while but I work full time in Boston so its hard for me to get there now, even on the weekends. Plus I sold the camaro so I havent had much ambition to go. Yea I love TAs and WS6's, I just found the best deal on my z28 so i went with it. I would def check the for sale section on this forum as well as the easter section on this forum near the bottom fo the ls1tech homepage as you can usually find some cars posted there. PM me if you have any other questions though.

So get an 8.8 in an F-Bod. Not too pricey really. Hell, wait for one of those guys to get fed up with the 10 bolt and offer to buy it off him cheap. You save some dough on the purchase and just put the 8.8 in. I'm sure there's kits available or a shop localy that can do it with a cheap (for you) 8.8 that you provide.

This has to be the stupidest post ever. Why link to a different forum and talk **** about them? Or even say that you don't like them. Especially when YOU HAVE A 2V MUSTANG. That's like talking **** about your own family. And you come to an LS1 site and do it, like they care. WTF!??.. And no, I didn't click the link because it's useless. We all know that a bolt on GT isn't coming anywhere near a GT500, in the 1/4 or 1/8 mile. And there's no kill here. I'm surprised Unit hasn't threw the lock on this **** already.

this **** is why people bash mustang owners.i know for a fact it takes more than boltons gears and tune to beat a gt500.with a 2v 99 up car the 3v cars i know very little about.it takes atleast a 100 shot been there done that.
