today on my way home from downtown i see this bmw on my rear mirror (looks late 90's early 2000's not sure if its 312i or whatever. it looked like it though. dont know if its stock or not, engine sound was not too loud, had shiny exhausts and had ground effects) were on city streets, i signal him with stares and hazard light flickering. i stay slow to wait for him to get next to me, instead he just zooms past me without warning (he was fast, wot) i wot my ride and caught up in like 2 seconds. we encounter traffic, and met at the next light . (he looked cocky and intimidated all at the same time) i rev my whip and he nods his head. light turns green, it was ON. we were LOUD (WOT, people staring). off the line we were even for 2 long seconds. then i break with the lead by 1/2 car length and we ended it there cause of downtown traffic. the end.

soon after the bmw race, i see this loud and what i'm assuming heavily moded srt4 with 2 passengers at the light. he was infront of me, i make it a point for him to see me by flickering my fog lights and sticking out of the lane right on his green ***. were both on our way to the 94 free way. on the ramp i pull next to him. i waited for him to start. he did (on a roll up the freeway ramp). then i did. i easily beat him by numerous car lengths. then i mellow out and wait for him while flicking my hazards on the main freeway off of the ramp (so far flickering my hazards for the first time this week has gotten me alot of races! i can imagine how annoying as f*** it is though) so he's behind me about 3 car lengths as i flicker my hazards waiting for him to get next to me. he's driving pretty slow and i'm like, okay i guess he doesnt want none. so i just gave up. and out of no where he zooms right past me really fast and loud! i felt like it was unfair because he didnt give a warning. just flew past. so i stomp on my pedal and i'm like ****, this ******* still MOVING like a JET! i eventually caught up and took the lead about 4-5 seconds later passing him at like 140 mph! he was still trying(i can HEAR it). it seemed to me like his car couldnt function impressively past 130 mph. then we see a cop on a motor cycle. once the pig was outta view. i wanted more (signaling him). he just didnt want anymore and exited the freeway a couple of mins later. the end! I am pure factory BONE STOCK btw

Umm from a roll, a heavily modded srt-4 would own you if you're stock. so he was probably stock or stage 1.
But still good kill. 3 of my friends have modded srt-4's. From a launch they're not much but from a roll those things are pretty decent.

+1 on the SRT4, I played with my buddies 04 in my stock 98 SS. From a dig I owned him BAD, but from a 45-50ish roll....he got me by like 2.5 cars or so. His mods are a CAI, bov, boost controller, and takeoff catback. So a "heavily" modded one would have hurt my feelings bad from a roll at that speed.

yeah that beamer was quite a fight actually. it looked like one of those everyday beamers you see on the road. as for the srt 4 it definitely had mods to it, maybe not heavy but it definitely did. what i'm wondering is do srt4's lose power passed 130 mph or something? cause when i passed him at 130-140mph i put lengths on him. he got weak but you could tell he was still racing though, i could hear him WOT.

I imagine that since it's a 5spd, and that's about the speed where they would be at the bottom of 5th, that's the culprit. It would definitely pull alot slower in comparison to 4th gear than say, a 6spd LS1 car.

srt-4s also have pretty crappy aerodynamics i would say at 130mph especially.

Well I own both a ta, and a 2004 srt4...my srt4 is all stock except cai, and blow off valve. anyway I have had my srt4 up to 150... I don't know why his would run flat at around 130, I believe the stock srt4's shut off around 153-155... at 130mph. I was still pulling decently...
