Trans-Am vs C6
I was cruising around after getting my bottle filled enjoying the nice weather when I see a C6 vert up ahead on the freeway. I pulled up even with him shot him a rev and it was on! We started at about 75 and ended at 135ish with him 1.5-2 cars ahead. The crazy thing about it was that it had the whooshing sound of a turbo to it and it sounded badass! I was spraying and was quite surprised when he was still walking away from me, awesome car though.
Well I then got off the freeway just to find a poor 5.0 to make myself feel better. After I killed it I found a 300zx tt to lay to rest. Those were without juice. Not to bad for a Sunday afternoon IMO.

I was going to dyno on Saturday but I couldn't get my bottle filled in time so i'm not sure what kind of power I make. It sure was a suprise to me but still awesome to get beat down by such a beatiful machine!

Dude, that Vette wasn't stock if he beat you car with your mods. I can eat the *** off of a stock C6 with my Z car. I have beaten 2 Z06's, but not as bad as a stock C6.
You said you also laid waste to a 300Z twin Turbo too right? You gotta tell me that the 300Z gave you a better run than the C6 right? Cause a Twin Turbo'd 300Z is a pretty mean little bastard, and I'd have to bet that the 300Z with the TT's could outrun a stock C6!
You need to get yourself at least an LS6 Intake or a nice Cam in that thing. Then, go find that C6 again and school him!
Good runs though....Kudos!

The 300z sounded like a auto and he had at least an exhaust. I didn't spray him and still easily walked him.
And a stock 300zx TT won't outrun a c6, hell not even a c5 stock for stock.

Stock for stock with a C6 and a TT 300ZX it would be a good fight on the freeway IMO. From a stop I will say the C6 would have it.

they came with 300 hp manual or 280 hp in auto . they can run better than what their known for on the magazines but not much. ive heard of a few 300zx tt's that have run 13.1 to 13.4 range but i havent seen it. and the cars i have witness didnt come close to that.
me stock i ran 13.5@105 and i from 2 cars back at 30 mph roll pulled past a 1994 300zx tt manual till about 110 i had about 2 cars on him. he was compltely stock. this was back in 2002 stationed at the same base as me.
ive only seen a couple Stock for all i could tell 300zx tt's run at the track and they all ran 13.7 to and a 14.2 range around 100-104mph.
a 300zx tt is no match for any version c6. if both are stock.
300zx TT
300HP@6400 rpm
280TQ@3600 rpm
Final Drive 3.69:1
1st Gear Ratio 3.21:1
2nd Gear Ratio 1.93:1
3rd Gear Ratio 1.30:1
4th Gear Ratio 1.00:1
5th Gear Ratio 0.75:1
Top Speed 155.0 mph / 249.4 kph
0 - 30 mph 2.0 seconds
0 - 60 mph 5.5 seconds
0 - 100 mph 14.6 seconds
0 - ¼ mile 14.1 seconds
yea i know its magazine times. majority of all the magazines have the 300zx a Bottom 14 sec car to a mid high 13 sec car.
I personally have never seen one of these 100% "stock" 300zx tt actually run a 13.1 flat time like some of them claim has been done.
Curb weight-3500 lbs in TT form. YES HEAVIER THAN A C6 and heavier than us lol
they were though Very technologically advanced for their time. and thats also what caused their downfall expensive to make
300ZX Turbo, which came only in 2-seater form. Equipped with twin turbochargers and twin intercoolers (one set for each cylinder bank), the four-cam, 24-valve 3.0-liter engine developed 300 horsepower with 5-speed manual shift, or 280 horsepower when fitted with a 4-speed automatic transmission. Automatic also was available with the less-powerful engine. Turbos had intercooler inlets in the front air dam, a rear spoiler, Z-rated tires, and super HICAS (High Capacity Actively Controlled Steering) 4-wheel steering.
nice cars though. but HORRIBLE gas mileage
