Guy in another town has a 99' m6 reg. t/a. I have a 99' A4 exhaust, lid. He is coming down to my town tonight to "wax me" he says but he may be able to iono. Hes all stock except he says " just put a k&n air filter (16 hp), and a hypertech programmer (26 hp)". Now I know the k&n is bull but anyone know about these hypertechs? I think there bs but iono...He gets beat by his roomate which is a chick that has 97' m6 t/a ( 4:10s, cowl hood, k&n intake, and slp loudmouth). I walked all over her like at least 7 times.

Sorry for the long post but these 2 people **** me off so bad, there cocky and wont shut up. If you told these 2 there years of car came with a turbo from the factory, they would probley believe you. Thats how bad it is here. thxs again

Iono its been like couple months ago when i first got my car. But I have raced him before he got me by not much. But this past weekend I stayed neck and neck with my buddie 02 ws6 from a dig up to about 110, then his 4th gear came into play haha. He has suspention upgrades, headers, and dont think it matters that much but the ls6 intake. Its a M6 also.

16hp K&N ?!!? 26hp Hypertech ??!? ...... sounds like ricer talk to me. If anything he messed around with that programmer a little too much and made his car slower. Some people don't deserve LS1's.

Hypertech can benefit an auto.Shift firmness,ratio,shift points.AS far as the "power tuning" goes....Lets just say I let the stock A/F do its job.I felt like it was leaning it out too much.

go to hypertechs web page they do have dynosheets of bone stock cars gaining 26rwhp and 54ftlbs tq.when i got mine for the gears when my car was stock the hpp3 did make a real noticable difference down low.but now i only use it to tune my shift points
because i have a real tune.but go to the web site www.hypertech.com i think and look at the graphs.thats what he is goin by

The lid w/ a K&N filter is worth a few HP. The K&N intake is **** and twice the price. Tell youur friend he wasted his money with that programer.

back when i had my 93 z28 it ran 14.4? all the time, with just a chip might have ben hypertech not sure car then ran 14.0? and never higher than 14.1?. so i would think 20 hp or so would be about right mine was a (a4).

What's wierd is, and I don't know if anybody has pointed this out, but your A4 with an intake and exhaust should even out the M6 advantage...right?
And I like how the geared LT1 spanks the M6 LS1, thats good stuff!
I say race him, those Hypertech chips are as much crap on LSx blocks as they are on LTx from what I have learned.
