Default OH MY, I had a Kill???

Ok, I really dont care if you believe it or not, actually I can't for that matter.

I had the wifes car today which I bought for her to drive daily, and me to play with Its a 06 Impala SS, I know, gramma car to you LS2 and Cobra Boys. But I love the power and RIDE.

Anyway, came up on a new body style red Mustang GT. He had some great sounding exhaust and some beefy tires. He was at the light as I turned out of Walgreens and we were next to each other. When it turned green....of course, we both laid on the pedal. I spun a bit more due to factory tires, but was able to pull him hard in first and got a good jump, second gear sucks in these cars but keep me in the lead for a couple seconds, then he started to even out and maybe a bumper on me till he shifted in to third and I went by him a bit. I know he was coming on strong but we came to the next light and had to stop.

He pointed to pull over and we chated. He had Magna Flow, CAI. and a stick. I "think" he said his tires where NITTO????

I have Flowmaster, CAI, Tuner, automatic of course. (102.09mph @ 13.91)

We both agreed to do it again sometime at the local track, hope so, Either I have a faster car than what I think or he just shifted wrong.

Its not great, but fun. See, old folds can have fun too. HA

He should have done better than he didn, but he still wouldn't beat you too bad. He definitely should have had you from the beginning a little better though. Good run

good stuff man, and I too have to attest that old dudes still love to have fun. We just usually have so much more experience of the consequences that we hold back way too often, but every now and again, a good fun run will bring us back to life! Thanks for sharing bro.

If I remember reading correctly, Motor trend got a best of 13.9 out of a stock GT a year ago when testing it. I'm sure there is probably a better driver out there that can shave a few tenths off, but taking the best time they ran into perspective, it should have been a pretty close race. Except for the fact that he had a couple of mods, then he should have put a few feet on ya. But nice kill, on what seems to be a cool guy.

13.9 out of a stock '05+ is a pretty bad time, given decent conditions. But then again, Motor Trend also doesn't go to an actual dragstrip to test 1/4 mile times

The Impala and the Monte Carlo SS both have the LS4 DOD 5.3L. He is driving the 5.3, not the L67.

Good Kill.

they d, but you can turn it off and smoke the crap out of them. BUT you can also just sit there and do a burn out and let the smoke roll. I am going to upload a video of it laying a pair of about 65ft. black snakes. I love this car. I just got to figure it out.

Thanks for all the complements gents.

The 06's did NOT have any type of supercharged motor. They had the NA3.9, and the 5.3.

Of course what do we expect coming from the guy who thinks a stock 300zx TURBO runs with C6's and that Vr4's came with 400hp stock.
