Yeah, you can make it a sleeper with a real quiet exhaust and whatnot, but that's just not my style... atleast not right now, with this car. Alot of people already think my car's fast just looking at/hearing it (), and the one's that don't will know what to look for to tell if it actually IS fast. About the only thing I could get away with without being able to tell would be nitrous or a blower, and that's only if I got a quiet one. However, ~400rwhp (which is what I would make on either of those options) isn't that much, and wouldn't put me in the "sleeper" category. So I'm just gonna have to deal with not quite having the bite to match my bark right now, and then make her bite harder when I am able to. Sometimes you just gotta let a dog bark a little...

Thanks. Whats funny, is I was never really into Mustangs, too many around, but I do love the Cobra. What really sold me on them was the fact that the motor comes forged and they respond really well to mods. I dont regret buying it at all, although I may sell it in a couple years and get the new Camaro.

It's cool....just given some feedback. My mach is a pretty good sleeper for 400+RWHP. You can only tell at idle or looking at the gauges on the pillar (and those could mean anything).

Just because you got loud pipes doesnt make your car not a sleeper. Something i wouldnt consider to be a sleeper would be a car with draglights, gutted interior, a highly visable roll bar, huge cam lope at idle, bias ply tires, you get where im goin with it. sleeper can have loud pipes in my opinion.

Yeah, but it's REALLY hard to make a Mustang (with the stock internals) fast enough to earn the term "sleeper," with a semi-quiet exhaust. If you have cams, and a loud exhaust, anybody that knows anything is gonna know what's up. If you have a blower than puts you at ~400rwhp, it's gonna whistle loud enough to let the world know you're coming, and in my opinion 400rwhp still isn't enough to be a real street-fighter. Maybe in a fox-body, but not in my car. I'm not saying this about every car... but my car in particular. It's like the anti-thesis of a sleeper (and it's not even fast yet)

My blower (procharger) is pretty much only heard at idle. THen there is the Vortech SQ....(quiet) which isn't very loud. But I understand your comments. BTW - think about it....400+RWHP is enough to handle majority of the street cars out there. I think we just spend so much time ont he boards we tend to loose track of how many cars 400HP can take out.

Pete - I'll call you tonight. Haven't spoken with Billy, but he did say on Saturday that he would have it done about the 19th and promised to have it done b4 the 24th (my b-day).

Yeah, with 400rwhp I'd have no problem with the random Joe... it's just my friend's cars that I have to worry about . And I think I like blower-whine too much to get an SQ

My friend's ATI is pretty loud iirc. Last year at rod run he was revin and blowin off at every sub 13 second potential car. his sounds like it's turbo'd more than s/c. it's a 97 cobra. ATI Stage 2 or whatever.

ATi D1SC...I have the P1SC, which is a smaller head unit. I am going to upgrade to the D1 head unit in the future. Just can't right now.
