most usually dyno 275+ they were slightly underated from the factory like the ls1s

@ 12 psi he should me making over 450whp

Mods: I know this is off topic, but hopefully some members will appreciate some info.


That seems a tad low for 12PSI especially on a D1. I would expect ~450 or so. The 99+ 4V have different heads, cams and intakes. So I would expect the 97 4V (which doesn't flow as well) to have less hp in comparison of 12psi. Those would be at 500RWHP or so (maybe more). Granted alot of that is pending the tune. What timing and A/F is he running?

dont know the specifics. only that it was an sct tune at a local ford "specialist".

THere are ALOT of 'tuners' that shouldn't be tuning....I'll just say that.

I would like ot see his dyno sheet with A/F and know his timing. I think alot of power is being rob'd by the tune.

that's good to know. because he's depressed about it i think. he spent a lot of money. it still traps about 112-115 i think, on drag radials and is definately a fast car. also it's got a t-56 and a 4.10 gear w/eaton posi unit.

Which T56?.....sounds like a very stout car. I would have him contact Rick at Amazon tuning. I am not fond of i-net tuners, but Rick is one of the best tuners around, and specializes in stangs.

He always says Viper. I dunno if that's a brand name or if it's one from a viper. not up on cars anymore like i used to be.

Viper spec means that is the tranny gearing ratios that were spec'd for hte Vipers (as opposed to the GM, Terminators and Cobra R's)

95N20 - if he has a toon in his car, he does have problems....
