No suprise to me though. I saw a corvette follow me onto the highway & I had a feeling he wanted to have some fun. There were too many cars to do anything so I decided to exit & get back on going the other way. Sure enough he followed me back on going the other way. I merged on doing about 50 and he came up along side me. At this point I thought he might just have a stock vette or something I could hang with but as he got next to me I saw the Z06 badge. I looked at him & he just smiled . We exchanged a few pleasantries then I heard him downshift. Its time... I floored it & took off the best I could. He flew by me so fast that all I could do is just look with admiration.
He slowed down to about 55 & we tried to converse but neither of us could hear the other very well. I asked if he was stock & he said no I am s/c. I told him I had a mild cam & lets run again. He obliged and once again he showed me what the back of his vette looks like.
He was a cool guy in a cool car.

BTW I put a modded integra to shame after that so my ego wasnt totally deflated.

Since a stock 2002 C5Z06 can trapp 114-116 mph all day long..Id only asume that with an 8 pound procharger they'd be in the 125-128 mph range all day long..

ive personally seen a 2001 c5z06 dyno 335 rwhp SAE 100% bone stock and then dyno 500 rwhp SAE with the only mod being an 8.5 pound procharger..

actually i could see a 3100 pound C5Z06 with 500 rwhp trapping 130 mph..SICK

The one I raced claimed ~520 to the wheels. But the last I heard his best trap was only 122...I guarantee there is a lot more in that car though

Yea 122 on street tires probally burning rubber through first/second and a lil bit of third LOL..

520 rwhp and the C5Z06's stout 3.42 M12 trannie arent a good mix on street tires..LOL

Honestly..The record for a bone stock c5Z06 in any publication is 118..Backed up by a 117 in motor trend..backed up by numerous 115-116 mph trapps in various magazines..

So with a SC 122 is out of the question if he's hooking..
