IMO u can't judge any car by its shell anymore. other day i got WRECKED by a dodge neon expresso !!! little did i know hes one of the only people in the state with a ????? swap and it being stage 1, FULLY gutted lol. car was SICK. this thread was posted just to open minds...NOT to start **** or diss LS1'S because i love the ss's and ws6's, alot of my friends have them.

I wish I had a rainbow stage 5 that could almost keep up with a very slightly modified corvette. Does a stage 10 get you to the 12's?
Naw he had the vette at the end that wasnt brake lights it was the reflection from a street light, the stage 5 was just kicking in!

the saturn guy is a retart and will blow his car up. he has all that work done and is only running 13.7's and he's running his mouth like his **** is fast. He gives us (2.0 S/C cars) a bad name

do they even MAKE anything higher than a stage 5?
thats rough, stage 5, all those mods, and 13.7, and no more room to improve without changing FI (turbo) or engine transplant?

I can see this happening with an Ion putting out 300whp... but think about how terrible it would be to try and launch that thing. Pretty sure that car will take out stock vettes from a good roll but not from a dig. So i'm sayin its probably a decent street fighter just not so much at the track (wheel hoppin through second and all..).

13.6 is what i'm running with little more than GM stage 2
anyway, i know my car is slow. the most bad-*** car on my kill list was an LT1 97 WS6 (bone stock)-possibly poorly driven, but i wouldn't dare mess with an LS1 car, not yet anyway.
I just came in here to join in the fun of calling this redline owner an idiot

If an Ion or Chevrolet Cobalt SS ran low 14's or high 13's it would be possible to beat some Vette's. I guess such a car would beat anything that wasn't as fast.
I guess the point is some Ions are fast and some Vetts are slow.
