Trailblazer SS vs. C6
Cool dude in a black TB SS caught me cruising home a few mins ago. Got along side for a 50-140 run (well, I went 140, not sure what he hit).
We went from a couple digs and stopped and talked a bit. He was running 13.6s (had bolt-ons/tune minus headers). Really good guy, lots of fun.
On the digs, TB out front by a 1/2 car 'til 40mph, then I got a little traction and slid on by to 3+ cars by 90 and walking. Good runs and really nice looking truck!
I get so few surprise runs in these days, just had to share.

You aren't kidding. On the street, that thing would give a stock C6 a decent run down low. He even brake stalled a little bit for the launch and spun some, but not too much. I have to go no brake stall and only 1/4-1/2 throttle and ease into it up to 50mph, or I'll just blow the street tires off it, and I'm running a 305 out back.
They are definitely quick for small tanks!

Nice kill. I wouldn't expect your vette to have too much trouble with a bolt-on TBSS.
Like you said, a stock C6 better not be sleeping or they will be surprised at what the TBSS can do.
My neighbor just got a 07 C6. I will race him one of these days in my TBSS to see what the difference would be.

Yep, BigD..."sleeper" is taking on a whole new meaning these days. When an SUV can take down a 12-13s street car...stuff will happen
He just wanted to play. He'd just beat (I think) a kid in a Mustang GT that his buddy called him out to run and he was excited to run into me on his way home. I know the guy who tuned his car (he actually tuned mine too originally).
The guy was really game though...he thought mine was a C6Z at first run, so he wasn't scared to run!! We ran the last time after he knew what I had, and he was just a cool guy out to see some good fun and how he stacked up.

You should post up some nice pics of that thing man! I remember you posting once that your sig pic doesn't do those wheels justice. I'd love to see some more pics!
Nice Kill! That TBSS sounds sweet! It'll haul the entire family to the track and still cut a 13.6! That's more than enough to beat some bolt-on GTs or a stock LS1 that is not on his game!

I'm still lazy and haven't gotten a decent digital camera yet. I'm still working with 2.?mp from 5 years ago, and it just sucks! It makes the wheels just drop into the background and pushes the alum spokes too bright...they aren't that contrasting on the car in person.
I'm trying to talk the wife into a TBSS for her next car...that way I have 2 cars to go mod crazy with .

Black car, night racing...not good video material.
If everything would have worked out, I had wanted to run Doug to see how we matched up. I have beaten C6Zs from a dig (fairly well driven, driver turns 11.7s on street tires) by 1/2 car or more. From a roll, with my pitiful A4, it's brutal...he just keeps walking away.
Hey, we're all severely traction limited. That's what makes the driving part fun!

BigRon, Definitely talk the wife into getting a TBSS. It is a great SUV. Fast, roomy (for me, the wife and two kids) and handles surprising well. Best thing being, it has the LS2 so you can mod it like crazy. There is a guy on one of the TBSS boards that is running a 408 with a KB blower on it. Something like 650rwhp; absolutely insane.

The are definitely movers for an SUV or anything for that matter. Any 13s street car isn't a complete slouch, and they have less traction issues than us under 2 ton vehicles.

I ran it on a closed track (friends of my Dad owns it) in 102* temp and ran 11.57/125 on street tires (although new). Ran 3 times and 11.7*/122 was the worst. 1.9 60'.
I bet that ride of yours surprises the hell out of lots of people. Nice build up!
