Depends on the upkeep of each car and how they are running. The corvette has a slight aerodynamics advantage, but that won't come into play until after 110mph or so.......essentially, its a drivers race, specially from a dig....

Drivers race, SS has the advantage off the line but the C5 has it beat at higher speeds.

Ya i would say the vette, if both drivers are equal. But like wallywall says, anything can happen

Equal drivers, 1/4mile: SS (3.23 gears), highway roll: Corvette.

all m6 SSs have 3.42s and I think it could go either way.it just depends on how fast you get up to.

I'd say the Vette because of the weight difference. It's definitely a driver's race though.

Its a drivers race with the advantage going to the vette. I ran my friend in a 04 vette(A4) and we were dead even. I had a lid and a cutout

hey guys sorry about the post didnt read the rules!! wel they ran last night after work. like everyone said it turned out to be a drivers race. the first run was from about 10-110 the camaro pulled about half a car right off and another half through the race. the second run was about 40-130 the ss got about a fender off the jump and about a half a car by the end of the race. they ran a 3rd time just for the hell of it from about 80- (the vett claims) 160 the ss hung with it till around 100 then started to fall back. the ss was about 2 cars down by the end of the race. it was a fun race the cars are very close to be so different. the vett guy was really supprised! i ran him after they were done from about 10-130 i had a good 2 1/2 -3 cars on him by 65-70 and about 6 by shut down!

When my C5 was bone stock I raced a LS1 SS camaro on the feeway.

From 70-100 it was pretty close. But from 100-130 mph I put two cars on him..

My c5 was a 2.73 geared auto.

Stock for stock I was faster than every Fbody manual or auto in our local club besides one mn6 WS6 who tied my et stock for stock.

200 pounds and .29 drag makes for a faster car..Even if the Fbody dynos 5 rwhp higher on average due to divetrain loss
