Its about application. I could say that the new cheese grater in my kitchen is >>>>>>>than the POS old can opener.
Pretty hard to open a can with a cheese grater though. Makes a mess.
The Z06 will perform on par or so with the FGT, speaking in very rough terms. It will do it cheaper. It will not have the eye-catching ability or neccesarily the refinement and gradual nature of the FGT at the limit.
The FGT will perform like the Z, speaking on very rough terms. It will cost a lot more. Its more refined, and draws more attention. Its rare.
If you want cheap practical speed, get the Z. If you want a instant rare car that hauls *** and is a big crowd pleaser, get the FGT.

LS1tech is the only place were you'd even see comparisons of the FGT and Z06. Any were else there is no comparison...

A C6Z06 IS "CAPABLE" OF AN 11.2-11.6 AT 125-127 MPH
A FGT WILL RUN AN 11.2-11.6 AT 126-130 MPH
Now for every 1 FGT that has ever ran at the strip there are 10 C6Z06's that ran at differant tracks. Meaning that all the C6Z06 guys need is 1 guy out of 10 to run a 11.5 at 126 mph bone stock.Dosent matter if the other 9 guys ran 11.7 at 124 mph. Cas now they are gonna say that the C6Z06 is just as fast as the FGTeven though it will run the 11.5 at 126 on average..Not only 1 driver out of 10..

How can you say what the Z06 is only "capable" of running those times when it has indeed ran those times OVER AND OVER again, yet say the FGT "will" run those times when it has BARELY ever done so? Yea i didnt get my disability from Iraq..Most of it happenned in Egypt on a peace keeping mission..

fadi Give it up man..with equal drivers the FGT is faster..It routinely trapps 126-130 mph in magazine test..
The C6Z06 routinely trapps 123-127..Pretty big size differance.
I can go find you vids of SRT10's pullin C6Z06's stock for stock as well as people claiming to run 11.7 at 123 mph in stock SRT10's...
But the bottom line is that the C6Z06 will trapp 123-127 on average..While the SRT10 will trapp 119-123 on AVERAGE..

hahaha...130 mph trap speeds for the FGT stock..LOL. That is about as unlikely as a C6 Z06 trapping at 127 stock.
You can talk about internet experiences through other people while I go through my REAL world experience with other cars. Until i get beat by a FGT, then I will agree with you. Granted I am not bone stock anymore, but when I was, I beat them. And no, it wasn't driver, and 67maro will tell you the driver was not a beginner.

A C5Z06 can be had in the high 20's man..And is nothin to dream about..
Just about anyone who makes 15$ per hour can go find a nice 02 for 28-32 grand..
Not being a Dick but just telling it like it is..
ive seen 2004 coupes exactly like mine now selling for 29 in the paper..Thats freakin crazy.02Z06's at the same price point. Ive said it before and Ill say it again. My C5 was the worst idea I ever had financially..
If he picks up a 1996 GTS Viper for 35K..5 years from now it will still probally be worth 35K..
