He had 3.73s and nittos, so he would get my off the line but I always caught him.
btw this is when my car had a catback and the k&n fipk
It all depends on what you do, though I do agree that forced induction/nitrous is the best route with the 2v 4.6s. It is VERY possible to get a bolt-on/geared GT into the 12s, but mid 12s at best.

You better be hittin some hella 60' times. I don't see them in the mid 12's otherwise. They only trap in the high 90's stock don't they?

I actually beat a 99-04 gt in my Third gen a few years back, when i was a bolt-on L98, pulled him outta the hole til about 60 then it evened out but he was already a couple cars back and never caught up.

Well a 290-300rwhp car with 4.10s and drag radials is fairly capable of mid-upper 12s, I'd say. They trap 99-101 stock.

Wow, just bought a new (to me) 02 GT M5...I was in the 13.3 area with just 4.10's and dr's(dumping @ 5500). With a tune and full exhaust minus headers, I went 12.98@103, Three weeks ago. I will be doing the intake from air filter to the lower intake later this year. I just dont see how you need that much HP to rin in the 12's. Theoretically 250RWHP with the gvw that a mustang has is good for 12's

Yeah... there's a guy on another forum I'm on that has MAYBE 250rwhp (H-pipe, exhaust, K&N) and 4.10s that ran a 13.1 @ 104mph. And he's on regular tires. It might not be common, but it is possible.
