Killed an 04 Cobra
I know none of you know the area I live in, so ignore all the road names. I posted this on my local forum and instead of retyping it I'm just pasting it here.
So me and a co-worker were heading to Hardee's on Hwy. 231 south around 10:30am or so (had to go pull some measurments), and I spot this Cobra, sounded pretty good so I knew he had exhaust. My first thought was its an 01 Cobra. So I notice he turns right off ross clark circle onto highway 52, so I follow. We get to the intersection on hwy 52 and the light is red. DIG! So I throw him a quick rev and he agrees to go on red. Light goes green and I hear that Eaton just a screamin, but I hooked and jumped about a good car ahead of him (at this point i'm thinking to myself, "oh ****
, its an 03/04").
I look in my side mirror and I see him still back there, except now he's a good car and a half to two cars back. Well, finally he hit third and I knew this is where I was going to have problems, he started pulling hard and he only got up to rear quarter panel and he shut down.
Yes if we would have kept going, he would have won, but we didn't. He shut down instead. I was actually quite shocked as to how my car jumped out on him. A win is a win.
Anyways, the guy was pretty cool about it. He pulled up beside me and asked what all I had done and I told him. He said it runs pretty strong then he said he shut down b/c his blower started acting up somehow. Acting up or not, he would have kept pulling on me and passed me. Anyways, I gave the guy a thumbs up, and he returned the favor. He turned off and that was it. The guy has a florida tag so maybe someone from there might recognize him. I don't think there are many cobra's with this spoiler on the back...
We took this picture with our office camera and it doesn't have video but this is when I first spotted him on the circle...
