Default Two Kills in One Nights Work

Alright. I'll set the mood.

I was at Buffalo Wild Wings eating with a couple of buddies after skydiving for my first time. Needless to say, we were still stoked. We finish up and walk to our cars. One of the guys with us wanted to check out my car. I get in, start her up, and give it a little rev. He likes it and goes on his way. On my way out, there was a group of performance sedans to my left. I'm driving by slowly eyeballin em with my windows down. One of the guys looks at me and says "You wanna have some fun?" "Sure. What you got done?" I asked. "Stock turbo..." is all he replied. I said "Yeah, lets go." My buddy is watching me the whole time and asks me what's going on? I told him that I was about to go run these cars and asked if he wanted to ride. "Hell yeah!" So, he parks his car and gets in. I follow the cars out to the feeder.

First up, a silver STi. He wants to go from a 40 roll. I put it in first and wait for him to honk it off. 1...2...3...As soon as he hit it the third time I jumped out about a half a car. I spun pretty bad through what was left of first and part of the way through second. Shifted into second and pulled a bit more. He was around my rear bumper. I run it all the way up and hit third. I pull him hard through the "Cheater Gear." He was around one and a half cars back by the top of third. I slam fourth and pull another car on him by about 120. I let off and slow down so he can catch up. He comes up right next to me and asks me "Damn! You sprayin the bitch?!" "No" I said, "Bolt-ons and tune." His mouth dropped... He wanted to go again. Same MPH start only he brake boosted this time. 3 honks went off again. Same results... He pulled up and exclaimed **Excuse** "I put on a new intercooler earlier in the day and lost about 2lbs of boost." **Excuse**

Whatever. I asked him what's up with his friends Evo MR. He said, "He's faster. He normally pulls about two cars on me." I thought, alright, that should be a good run for me. So, we U-turn under the freeway and line up with this Evo. 40 punch is what he wanted. We line up and I hear him brake boost his car. I honk this time. 1...2...3. I took off and he was no where to be found. I slow and wait for him. Apparently he couldn't hear the third honk over my exhaust (cut-out was open.) So I tell him to start it off. He honks three off and I jump out hard. Probably about a car or so. By the top of third I had at least two and a half on him. I let out and wait for him to fly by.

I follow them back to a parking lot. We all get out and start talking. They both had full bolt-ons and tunes. We chatted for a bit more and then parted ways. I think I fared pretty well considering the mods. Granted we all had bolt-ons and tunes, I had a 200lb. passenger with me and was on 16" street tires.

All in all it was a fun day and night. I always enjoy a good race...or two.

Why would AWD cars want to race from 40? I easily pulled an STi from 40 once, and the same car pulled me about 3 cars out of the dig.

Thats a very nice story and well written. The thrill of a victory is worth enjoying

So, a dig would be from a stop? How does your car dig? Have you digged at a track?

I am not much of a street racer any longer. I was once addicted. Times have changed though. Unless you met up with a car on the highway hoods were raised in the old days before the races. I love the question are you spraying? I would come back several ways. Spraying, no remember I had HOT WINGS. Or, man I thought cars like yours were faster than that. Next race you go on two I'll go on three.

Nice kills. Get decent tires and don't worry about the dig either. Those cars are hard to launch. Takes a good driver with alot of practice. 1.8 60' times for bottom 12 sec. cars when driven well.
