When you can afford a brand new 300K vehicle 12 K seems like a decent deal...

They are not worried about6 it man...

Even if you can afford a 150K gallardo then 6 K wouldnt seem so bad..

Or a 75K C6Z06 ...3 K for aq clutch wouldntr seem so bad...

Or 37.5 K that the upper middle class can afford and 1,500 for a clutch isnt so bad...

or us average mere mortals and are used 19K cars..750 for a clutch is doable..

It's all part of the food chain..

Honestly when you can afford a 300K car I hope you have a MINIMUM of a million dollar home and a MINIMUM of 100K sitting in the bank...

You oughtta be wiping your *** with 20's if your rollin a LP640...

Ive seen used Gallardos in the low 100's....So thats completely differant the the merci LP640..

Still some hefty maintanance bills on the gallardo though no matter how cheap you can find it

the race was with an older model merci, i think those have around 580 bhp.

However! A friend of mine (not a good friend) just had brand new LP640 delivered about a week ago..ive seen it and got some pics (if yall r interested, i can post). Now that car if friggan sic! Only problem the dude is a weenie with his cars (hes owned and sold 2c6z's, db8, older model merci, ford gt). Hes NEVER wot on any of em. He did let a good friend of mine (who WILL race them) borrow the GT for the weekend before he sold it, so I'm gonna try like hell to butter him up on that new merci after he's "broken it in".

Seeing as my car puts 562 rwhp, I would anticipate walking both older and newer mercis, but its more of a drivers race on the newer models.

not true. not everyone with a new Lambo is Pablo Escabar, Jay Leno and ****. many people still finance them...or it's their one dream car that they've saved up for. putting down $12k for clutch once in while is understandable, but not after every few races from a dig.

that guy on BullRun One was crying his *** off about doing "$60k" worth of damages on his Lambo. and guess what, he's only paying for the $15k clutch. the rest of that $60k is on his insurance (he only pays the $250-500 deductible). he's just some guy with a good job who saved up his pennies for that car.

Good kill. C6Z06 finds a GT and then runs a Lambo...all in one night.

Hell, I can't even find a kid in a skittle or cobalt to run.

and they go thru clutches every 4-8k miles they ussually dont last more than 10k miles.

thats why every lambo you see has under 5-10k miles. people are not as rich as you might think but of course there is some that are rolling in it but its rare.

hehe, some of you guys don't know your exotics too well, but that is ok, because I was like you until I started doing extensive research given that I want a Gallardo next.

What you are saying is logical, but it is not right. There is a difference.

I should soon own a Gallardo and i would absolutly HATE to drop 6K on a clutch right after I got it. Remember, people that are rich are rich for a reason, and one reason being that they are smart with their money. No body, I mean no body would want to get a car and then drop 6K on anything right after they get the car. Sure some people are effected more than other when it comes to 6K, but speaking from personal experience and from my financial point of view, I would definitely be upset if I had to drop that money on a clutch after 2K miles or so.

Just an FYI

Your lucky, I can't even hit seven eleven without some dude egging me on. It was nice in the beginning living so close to e-Town, but about fifty speeding tickets later....

Sounds like fun. The top of the line Lambo is my out of reality dream car, but the C6Z is my "I'm still dreaming but at least I'm somewhere on planet Earth" dream car.

Nearing 40 years old and hitting the streets like a teenager! I'm not sure i want to keep my car fetish well into adulthood. It's a monkey on my back for sure.

I bet the people around you when you "almost wrecked" those times were cursing you and your bloodline for centuries! "Damn teenagers these days and their go-fast cars! When i was thier age...!"

Wow you laid down 562rwhp and are only in the 11's.... now I don't feel so bad!!!! LOL J/K I know by first hand knowledge that a c6z will destroy an older mercie..... now a new one I have no idea about..... but conventional wisdom would say its a drivers race to 1320 with the mercie walking at higher speeds. BTW with 562rwhp you would destroy even a newer mercie. you're making the same power and weigh 600#s less.

A modded and tuned c6 z would not get walked on the top end bro. Sorry, but there have been a few modded c6z's in Texas doing 220 and more on GPS. One was an LG Motorsports customer and I can't remember what shop did the other Z. Anything over 200 mph is wicked fast. Both cars are fast as hell, but I wouldn't say the MURC will walk a modded c6 z.

Good point. It's better to keep it on the track and skittles, cobalts, hondas and the like are not worth getting tickets, insurance cost, hassle etc.
