sorry it took so long to get back to this. it was most def. a 94-95 and either he has something seriously wrong or it had a supercharger. and jugging but the smoke from its poor tuning im guessing it was a supercharger. i have a 3 1/2 cut out on my Y that i dont ever close. and i could hear a whine over it. so soemthing was up. never the less he was behind me. thats all that matters

the sn95 mustangs do whistle a little with even a k&n air filter-haha. their intake is in the worst spot-unless they have a ram air...if you pulled a little it was probably sc, if you pulled alot it was probably mostly stock...you never know though unless you ask...mustangs are fun arent they ? ?haha

Dude what on earth are you talking about? SN95s do not "whistle". Also how exactly do you make a SN95 a "ram air"?

IDK, my old 94 cobra with intake kinda whistled a little bit, more then my 03 cobra does. then when i got the throttle body on the 94 it REALLY whistled but not as much as my 03 with the throttle body does, weird.

Not with a stock longblock you're not hitting 400 with a 302, maybe 340-350 and that's pushing it, and I can assure you a stalled and geared A4 is anything but a dog.

You kidding me? A stock 1994 302 5.0 that makes 240bhp is going to make 400 rwhp with a blower bolted on? What am I smoking???

I must have missed something...you joking or what?

Hey Bitemark, what does your cobra run? It looks mean as hell!
Thanks. Best pass to date was 11.79@114.64 (Da was 1300ft or so) on the stock longblock. Just bolt-ons, suspension and weight reduction. Shooting for 11.50's before the novi 2k goes on.

And all mustangs from 94-98 were called SN95's. Some say 99-01 were also called SN95 but I beg to differ. -Mark

Sorry, but unless a 5.0 is stroked and pushing double digits boost, that would be the dog.

I thought the 99-04 were still SN95's? Or is there a code for those ones I'm not quite aware of?

yeah my next door neighbor has a 95 cobra with CAI, tune, a 75 shot and DRs. he has only ran 8.1 in the 1/8 best time. he won't even run me in the 1/4 and my best 1/8 in the 98 vette is 8.2 and that is with a stock clutch with 77k on it, a vararam and street tires. I would beat him down in the 1/4 because I am 2.xx 60ft and he is hitting 1.6 and 1.7s

94-04 were SN95s. The 99-04 are referred to as New edge, because of the body panel redesign. Other than that the chasis, etc. are the same (aside from the normal factory upgrades/changes).

I just say SN95 vs. New edge for clarity.

There is alot of difference between a 302 GT motor and a 302 Cobra motor. The thread was about a Cobra. A 302 Cobra with a blower will be right at 400rwhp. Bolt on Cobras make about 270-290rwhp and 305-310rwtq.

People have hit 500rwhp plenty of times on a stock GT longblock.

So you're saying any 5.0 that isn't 800rwhp+ is a dog?
