Alot of difference? The Gt40 heads mainly which upped the bhp from around 220 to around 240 stock.

You'd be real lucky to make 400 RWHP on the STOCK cobra motor with a T-trim or the like. I've seen built 331s with S-trim, AFR or TF heads, cam, CAI that only made 470/490 at 9psi...granted there was room for a little improvement on the tune.

There is a big difference in the motors. Everything with those cars (94-95s) are in the tune. Like I said bolt on 302 Cobras with a tune are around 270rwhp310rwtq.

Ok. I guess I need an edumacation. What are the differences in the cobra 5.0 and the GT 5.0 other than the GT40 heads?

Can you show me an S/C 94 or 95 cobra with a supercharger only and supporting tune making 400 whp? No offense, I guess I'm just ignorant.

There was the Cobra intake, cam was different, 1.7RRs, GT40 heads, and I think thats it. I'll try to find a Cobra with only a S/Cer for you.

im talking about the 2v 4.6l's. the throttle body doesnt face forward and they do have some intake noise with a decent filter-atleast mine did.it actually sounded cool. if you look in some mustang magazines you will find pages of body kits and aftermarket hoods...well they make ram air hoods as well as air boxes to make them functional

Thats interesting, ive seen several auto LS1's run deep in the low 13's stock...i guess thats a dog nowadays...95 GT's were definately faster then that

I'd definately like to see a stock auto LS1 run low 13's. (meaning IMO 13.3-13.0)

Hell i'd like to see a stock 5.0 run low 14's! But somehow you still said that the cobra must have been stock...lol.

I'm sure there's plenty of people that hit 500 on a stock block....for a couple of dyno pulls till it blows!

If you're talking stock untouched gt-40 iron heads, stock untouched intake, and stock cam you're not getting to the half century mark, you can only push so much air through that setup, and it's not enough to make 500, in fact, you'd need a good tune to break 400 rwhp.

That is pretty nice on a F-Body, and with a crappy 60' you should be able to hit mid 12s on DRs pretty easy.

So your T/A vert automatic runs 12.9@108mph with the only mods being exhaust and airlid? Pass what you're smoking.

94-95 cobras come with 1.7 RR stock, i know because when i took my head cover off i was QUITE surprised to see a brand name company whos name i cant remember (crane cams?) under the thing, then found out that they came on them stock over at SVTP.com. Its because the 94-95 cobras had a diffrent cam that ackwardly enough was LESS aggressive then a 94-95 GT.....damn i miss my old 94 cobra.

I'd like to see a 'bolt-on' 94/95 Cobra make 270-290 RWHP. From the factory, they are ~210 RWHP - so that's quite a jump.

Please post the evidence.

Thanks.
Bob
