Default explain this junk

I had an F-Body meet out in Greensboro tonight and a dude brought his C6. I had no plans on running him what so ever because I didn't feel like getting my *** handed to me. Well on the way back to Winston he came up beside of me and my drunk buddy told me to give it a go and see what he has. We started about 55-60 the first race I was in third, and we kicked it at the same time and he was going nowhere, I then missed fourth. The 2nd race I did get the jump by 3/4 of a car. Started at the same speed and by 125 he wasn't even all the way beside me, he was pulling very very slow maybe a total of 5 ft from start to finish. I have a full exhaust, slp flow pack, and pp tb 6spd. He was a stock 6spd C6. I figured by the end of fourth he would have pulled me by 3 cars. We both had a passenger. He is a good driver don't know much about him, nice guy though, and I consider myself ok too. Why didn't he roll me?

Maybe he didn't downshift to the best gear, or he was just messing with you. With more hp and less weight, should pull you hard wherever you start.

its possible if your car is just a really strong runner, you could be making close to the same HP and if you have better gearing I could see this happening.

I have stock gears. I have no idea why but on the roll my car runs great. The passenger in the C6 owns a TA with a descent size cam and 4.10's, we raced about a month ago and I walked him to my back bumper. He kept asking me what I have done to my car, and I told him full exhaust and slp flow pack and pp tb thats it. I have no idea why my car runs so solid from the roll. The guy in the C6 wasn't just playing with me either, he was the one who pulled up beside of me and wanted to go. I know we both went into 3rd gear... I just got the jump, but he was at my back wheel and only pulled his headlights up to my driverside door. I just figured he would have killed me.

From a roll, now that's a good question. Good kill none the less.

I have taken a Auto C6 from a dig w/ my old A4 LS1 Z-28, by about a car. (exhaust, lid, diablo, 3.42's and 245 nittos). Also took a cammed SS w/ 4.10's(puttin down 405hp) by about the same margin. Can't explain it but **** happens.

Bad gas pulled timing. Who cares good kill but something is amiss since you wont trap 113-115.

Why didn't you go down to second gear? Just wondering?

It is hard to hear the car next to me with the slp loudmouth and no cats, so I tried to match him gear for gear, would of loved to hit second, but would of only been in it for a second or two. Plus, my friend Scott who has a bad *** SS, beats the hell out of me every time, was in my passenger seat and was kind of guiding me along the way, he said stay in third so I did. I really imagine that if we did it from a lower speed, that weight would have played a bigger roll and he would of got me by 125 or so. Hell I was just happy that I payed a 1/3 of the price for my car and he couldn't do anything with me.

No it's black. There is a yellow one around here though it is driven by a lady that lives right up the road. This guy has had several performance cars before...M3, TA, Vette.
