If you would have said Nextel Cup, I would be agreeing with you.

after I read further into this, I am making my edit:

NASCAR and the NHRA are two different things. Those 358's go 500 miles with NEVER getting out of the gas except for a pit stop. NHRA Pro Stockers now make 1,490 hp with 500".

TWO completely different things that can NOT be compared because they seem to be around the SAME top speed.

idiots.
damn, you beat me to it, lol.

I love them both, digs are alot more fun, but if you are gonna race from a dig you damn well better give me a chance to run you down instead of just assuming you win because you pulled 2-3 cars in the first two gears.
EXACTLY...

I wouldnt have a problem running from a dig... I just dont wanna have the race end at 120 or 140... run 0-170 or 180 and im game

LMAO! There's this guy I know with an old school malibu. He thinks it's the ****, and he hasnt even raced anyone, took it to the track, or had it on a dyno. All he's done is drove it around TOWN with open headers. Anyhow, some guys were telling him to race me and he said "yeah from what, a 100 roll, cause I can't hook". I told him a 100 roll would work for me

Ya i prefer racing from a roll cause as I had said in the other thread even at 120mph at WOT in 4th gear I roast the tires... And its not like I dont have suspension to back it up :

adjustable pan hard bar, tubular lca's, hal 12 point shocks, tubular torque arm, tubular k member, Ive got a lot of stuff... even with it all my 315bfg's still wont hold the power. Ask LilBuddy... hes driven my car.

But like others have said before, dig racing is to see which one can hook up better, roll racing is to see which car has more power, just depends on goals of the car.

Why do you suck that bad at driving? Does your car trap over 120-140mph in the 1/4th? If not why would anyone want to race for more than that? If you can't catch them by 120mph you need to give up.

A stroker with a **** ton of boost (in his thread). I really perfer digs myself not because my car is insanely fast ( car has cam and bolt-ons) and will roast the tires at 100mph...

I just hate changing clutches. Maybe if there was more room to take off the the top bolts on the bellhousing I would race from digs more often.

honestly its just perspective... people are gonna wanna race at what they are better at. I'll race from a dig or roll, I dont care. But its when the **** talking starts and people say they beat you cause they shut down at 100 its a different story. Im always down to race for fun, but try to avoid the ********* that think their **** dont stink. But its not a perfect world so what can you do.

Back when I first got the car I always wanted to do a dig because to me that involved the most skill with an M6, and was therefore more entertaining. After roasting the Z06 clutch I put in a RAM 550 series (something like that), more dig racing and it fubared after like 4 months (disk came apart). Know with another Z06 clutch, I just baby it by doing roll races but if the car wasn't my DD, I prefer dig races myself. But like you I really don't care if someone ONLY wants to do rolls for whatever reason. Racin is fun either way to me.

See my first post, line 2. You've got the parts, but the entire car still doesn't work. You've got 8 second power going thru a 9 second driveline on 12 second tires. Imagine what it would do with a real tire. There are several guys running torque arm suspensions on radial tires that hook without much trouble, making a lot more power than you. That being said, I watched your video... WOW!

There are people running 7's or low 8's (I know 8s for sure) on drag radial type tires...

Regardless, ive got a pair of 28in et streets on 15 in prostars waiting to go on the car once its fixed (blew 4 pistons).

Problem is, the way my **** is setup the turbo spools and HITS way hard, so it shocks the tires and makes it difficult to hook. I can feather it pretty nicely, but with a 4k lb car (no cage, full weight, iron block, 73 lb turbo, full stereo and subs, etc..) it makes it that much more difficult to launch.

I intended to build this car as a daily driver/weekend warrior. I dont really care what it does at the track, I just wanna whoop on some supras and liter bikes

How about a boost controller?
