Alright, I have a 99 SS M6 with bolt ons. LT's, Off road Y-pipe, borla exhaust, slp lid, msd coils. It dyno tuned at 345 at the wheels. I was cruising around the other day and a stock looking mirage pulled up along side. I had to stop to fuel up, so he pulled in and asked it i wanted to run. I said sure. So we ran from a dead stop once, and I short shifted and didn't use full throttle and pulled a little on him. He pointed to another gas station so we pulled it. I said u wanna race for some $$$$. He said how about 100? So the second time we ran from a stop he pulled quick and I saw nothing but taillights. I couldn't believe what was happening.

When we pulled into the gas station I saw why. He had replaced all the drivetrain in the car with that from a turbo all wheel drive eclipse. It had everything done to it you could imagine. big turbo, dyno tuned, NOS, and alcohol injection. He showed me a timeslip and it read 11.1. Damn, I guess that teaches me to underestimate anyone on the street.

Theirs quite a few swapped Colts/Mirage/Summits around, they can be in the 13s with just the swap. They're starting to get deep and making them AWD now too.

The 4G63s swap right in using the Mirage mounts more or less. Its a dirt cheap swap.

But my god what a spin monster from a dig. No weight, no real tire in most cases, lots of mid-range TQ from a 4G63.

thats the thing that pisses me off, as a camaro owner i respect other cars who are fast whether they are v6's v8's or v10's . . . whatever engine may be. car may sound different and yeah i would rather hear my exhaust over a honda's exhaust anyday but a win is a win, why bitch and moan about someone else car when the car your driving isn't fast enough? why do so many people have soo much disrespect to someone's car just cause it's from far west of the united states? no reflection on you 99345HP

Sucks man but you need to keep a better eye out for hustlers, as soon as I hear a turbo on ANY car I start asking alot of questions.

^Yep. Turbos add a whole lot of potential and complexity in equal measure in a lot of cases. So some cars are fast and some are just piles. Its hard to figure untill you run too. Shoot my car is a pretty basic setup and minor changes like plug gap for instance make a huge difference.
