Default 1991 Acura NSX w/ Supercharger and other mods... :(

Well im on my way home, and Im driving up on the street that leads to the big hill (straight 1/2 mile upwards hill) to my house and I see a blk acura NSX, sounds real nice with fat tires out back... it sees me at revs at me so I rev back, the light turns green I have tcs off and omg otty: he was GONE. lol, I know my car is undergeared but holy ****, I couldn't beleive how badly he left me... so he slows down and I catch up, we are right next to each other, about 30 mph, and we go again and it sounds like a rocket ship (kind of like John STS Turbocharged camaro) flew by me, he had me by like a car and a 1/2 then we ran out of street, cool guy game the thumbs up. He had license plate "REV 2 8K". Looked him up on acura forums, and it looks like he's a 91 w/ a supercharger, 4.23 gears, and full suspension, I love those cars time for some mods

Damn, what are the chances of running into another NSX modded like that? Hell I do lucky to SEE a NSX around here! The only times I have I was in the g/f's saturn.

i agree. the NA2(97+) NSX(3.2 v6, Ti conrods ect...) are under rated. "290hp" they make about 270-280whp. great gearing. most run low 13's high 12 and trap 107-109 and wiegh about 3000lbs.

the NSXR in japan which is a lighten up version of the regular NSX run mid 12's easy. its bascially C5 Zo6 fast.

good runs, a 330whp F-body is no joke.

I saw a nsx at the local strip, damn thing ran an 8.0 but at 108mph. Pretty cool cars, but pretty damn expensive as well.

Not when it came out... it was quicker than the L98 Corvette (though not the ZR1), and ran right with the n/a 911s and the Ferrari 348. Which is exactly what it was designed to do. Not be a more expensive alternative to the Mustang/F-body, but a cheaper alternative to the exotics.

it's a great car, just saying it's usually only criticized for its power.

Correct, but all through the 90's it was a mid to high 13 second car. The 911 Turbo of the same period was anywhere from 1/2 to 1 second quicker. Even the Corvette ZR-1 and Grand Sport versions were quicker than the NSX. I think it's the "supercar" label that many people (including me) don't like WRT the NSX.

Oh, to the O.P., good kill... uh, I mean, good death

The 911 Turbos were quicker, but the N/A versions weren't.

If it's a true supercar, then it goes up against the best, and that was the Turbo.

But for it to be even competitve on the track more than 15 years after it's development, with only minor changes over the years, means it was a helluva car. And when it came out, it was running better and faster than most Ferraris/Porsches for less money and better reliability. Not to mention the driveability. It really is a great car, even if most of them do only run mid 13s.
