Ok finally got the car on Friday the 19 of Oct. i changed the tranny/oil and i'm waiting on the parts to change the rearend fluid. The Power steering was low and i added more fluid but this thing is still having issues to steer. Is this normal? It also pulls to both side sometimes.

I guess the srt-8 has some shitty aerodynamics cus it seems like LS1s always beat them from the punch. I ran one from a 60 punch and he didnt hang near as good as my buddies bolt-on ls1, I expected alot more from them.

The drag coefficient is .355/.36 Charger/300 and the frontal area is 25.8 for a total drag area of 9.3sq ft. I'm told that is real factor in determining drag.
You sure you didn't start at 70mph? Thats the dead spot in 3rd gear, low in the rpm range and a big no-no for the SRT-8 to start a race. Tip for next time...

sounds like no one here has actually taken a stock F-body against a new SRT8. I say SRT8 by 1-2 if he's not a noob at launching.
i KNOW this because my buddy has an SRT8. Only mod is cut outs. I have a handful of stockish LS1's that contend with him on a regular basis. It took 4.10's, Lid and i think a couple other lil things for the one z28 to tie the SRT8. yes they are heavy but they are powerful...

i've seen 98-99 LS1's have shitty numbers anyway so i'm not surprised by it feelin faster than yours. i raced a stock SRT8 charger when i had Lid, SB, Y-pipe and LM1 and i easily beat him by acouple cars . . . or course he wasn't too happy hahaha but i haven't run into one that wants to race since i put my LS6 and TB on.

U will be fine.. I raced one with only a lid and bellow and straight pipe as my mods and sat right with it.. Im a m6 but I babied it off the line with no wheel spin and sat right with 1,2 and right into 3rd it beat me by a bumper to that point.. My clutch is about out and is growlin and slippin like crazy .. You should wax it..

Almost all of my LS1 wins have been from a roll....
